Hey Guys,

I'd just like to say that this is probably my favorite section on The Warrior Forum. I've bought so many WSO's over the past 8 months, but I have to say that the big boys over here in the CPA section have offered me the most value for money with their courses. People like Kenster, Williamrs, Mike Morgan and PPC Coach appear to be the most honest guys around here and seem to take a genuine interest in helping people out. So I say thanks to those guys and everyone else who makes a contribution to this forum.

Basically, I'm looking for some inspiration here guys and want to ask, am I too late for affiliate marketing? Is the honeymoon over for affiliate marketers in general?

It seem as though each year just gets more difficult for internet marketers due to the constant upgrades to the search engines and the tightening of rules inside the major PPC networks.

Can someone like me really become the next Kenster, Williamrs or Mike Morgan etc... ? Can a long term, successful career really be made from internet marketing starting now or should I quit while I'm ahead and stick to my day job?

Although I would still consider myself a newbie, I can say that I have seen a little success so far with my PPC efforts promoting CPA offers, but something tells me that generating leads for other people on a daily basis just isn't a sustainable way of making a long term living online.

I'd be interested in getting some feedback on what people think about the current state and future of internet marketing and whether or not they think someone new to this game can really become successful long term.

And if people think that there is still room for newbies to become successful it would be great if you could share some tips and strategies. Maybe I should be looking at setting up a particular business model rather than simply throwing up random CPA campaigns blindly? I may also benefit from joining a coaching forum? I hear that PPC Coach offers some great value over at his forum, so I may give it a trial.

Anyway, apologies for the long post. I look forward to receiving any feedback you may have.

Hi There, and thank you the nice words. In truth, there are hundreds or thousands of big boy CPAers out there...maybe even more.

And there is plenty of room.

The internet is massive...and its still in its infancy. Are you too late, absolutely not. Info marketing, internet marketing, cpa marketing, digital products, will be around forever and it won't be for a long time that there isn't room for newcomers.


The reason there will always be opportunity is because the internet is so dynamic and changing that there are always new opportunities coming up everywhere. Different traffic sources, different sites, and software and ways of doing things...it always changes.

As for CPA, sure its lucrative but you make a great point, you are giving leads to other people. However, you can make a lot of money doing that, even if you aren't getting the lions share of the profit. Think about this. You give Netflix 50 leads per day. You thus earn a little under a grand a day. Sure, Netflix may be earning more than you but from your personal economic perspective, your personal utility, is it still worth it for you? Perhaps, perhaps not. But its important to realize that nearly every business out there is a middle man in some capacity, so just because you aren't reaping all the value of what you create, doesn't mean its not a good economic choice.

Further, there are ways to set it up so you are creating sustainable value. You can build massive lists by doing CPA marketing, you can build diversified traffic streams within the CPA arena to maintain a more sustainable business and so on.


In my personal opinion, the CPA model is great and will be around for my entire lifetime...as lead generation has been around forever. Info products and affiliate marketing, they also are great. There are really many ways to make money online and each has its own benefits and downsides. In truth, if you work hard at ANY one of the directions, you will do just fine!

I totally agree with kenster. There is still room for new people, this is a growing market and the door is opened for newcomers.

Maybe it looks like things are getting harder and harder every single day, but it's not necessarily true. In the beginning it was easier to run campaigns on AdWords, but on the other hand it was harder to access CPA offers and most of the guys had to build campaigns only for Clickbank products and other CPS offers.

What I'm trying to say is that every time a door closes another one opens, so what you have to do is put your focus on what is coming (e.g. mobile marketing, emergent economies, new models and offers, etc) and forget what's gone. If you do it, you will not let the old ideas blind you, preventing you from seeing the new opportunities that keep coming everyday.

Best advice I can give you is don't look at this as "Ooo, I'll try some CPA, and then some AdSense, what about ClickBank" as so many do. Go into it with a business model as you would in any other business.

I start "reading" about a year ago around this time, doing nothing but reading and imagining how much better my life would be if I was rich! Fast forward to about 3 months ago, I decided to actually take action and next thing I knew as of today I am $25,000 richer thanks to WarriorForum, and CPA in general! I'd still consider myself a seasoned noob but I am earning as I learn! I love this game!

Absolutely plenty of room for new people to enter the scene.

There are so many people who have tried so many systems and spent money on training, software etc., and still wheel-spinning.
I think the main gist for a successful internet marketer is to focus on simple strategies in the beginning, and not to get overwhelmed with all the "other" information and "miracle" systems.

This is a constantly changing industry, and growth is inevitable--and that would be an understatement.

Opportunity awaits and I don't believe it's ever too late as long as the passion is there, and the effort close behind.

In fact, there are some good advantages of keeping a low profile. Some disadvantages as well of course.

Hey Guys,

Thanks a lot for all of your responses to my post. You've given me some great advice and convinced me that there is still room for newcomers to forge a long term career out of Internet Marketing and that is what I intend to do.

I also really liked Kenster's post 'CPA Millionaire Part 3', which further elaborated on my original concerns about space for newcomers and the future of CPA marketing. This was a really great read, you should check out all of the CPA Millionaire posts if you haven't already!

Well, right now I've burnt a hole in my credit card on PPC campaigns and need to wait for the network to pay me at the end of the month, before I can start again. Until then I'm going to take the advice of Kenster in his CPA Millionaire Part 2 post and start playing the numbers game with video and maybe some bum marketing and see where that takes me.

In addition to this, I'm going to try my hand at list building. After just finishing a small, but very informative course on this by William, it's given me the inspiration to get a subscriber list together in one of my chosen niches and start promoting multiple offers to them.

Anyway, I'd better get back to crafting out my plan on building a successful business in this ever-changing, scary, but also exciting world of Internet Marketing.

There will always be newcomers and there will always be some successful
ones among them. No time is too late for anything in my opinion.

Things are changing... search engines, ad networks, social media... in short people
are changing. So should our marketing styles and practices. Making money as an affiliate
marketer will always be possible provided there are affiliate products around and
provided you do a good job as an affiliate.

I don't have much future insights but what I believe is that the marketers who honestly
recommend products, who tries to help their community, who doesn't think just
the money will most probably be around forever.

For affiliates I think the margin is beginning to thin considerably, but there is still money to be made.

What is more important is getting in and learning how direct response works. If you learn direct response marketing, you'll never work "job" another day in your life. Period.

Think about it. If some of us (and I don't know who's really doing it or just shooting the shhhh) but if some of us are fortunate enough to do this full time, what if we started our own offers online or offline? We would instantly be our own super affiiates. That is a route I am looking at, as it is fun to make $$$ with no responsibility of managing customers or an offer, but a product gives you far more flexibility and revenue options on the backend.

So to answer your question, the party is not over. But you will start to see the "cool kids" dip to the afterparty (product creation) really soon!

From what I can tell, there have been people saying that it's too soon to get into Internet Marketing & people saying that it's too late. Neither one is correct. The market changes constantly (as all markets do). Just get in there, learn & work - and work some more. And, then learn a little more.

Ten years ago, 'they' were saying that the internet was too hard - that it was a scam. It was more expensive (domain names cost more & hosting was outrageous). Also, it helped to be able to code. Nowadays, it doesn't cost so much & you don't really have to know how to code - although it helps a little.

What one needs to succeed on the Internet is what one needs to succeed in anything: hard work, intelligence & perseverance. That's it. Add an extra 15% more than what others are willing to do & that will get you the success you desire.

Internet Marketing definately is still in its infancy and growing stronger as more people

discover the possibilities of becoming wealthy and growing a business that will generate sales and more sales for motivated people who have had enough of the 9 to 5 traditional job.

I have found that a mentor who is willing to show enough understandable videos, like looking over his shoulder has aloud me go grow the necessary skills to be a success.

Videos are the best step by step skills that can be developed into a IM guru. I know a IM guru who is raking in the cash and only took him 6 months to achieve this. He is the most honest hard working, smart Guru to make headways for all newbies to be like he is and more.

After working on the Internet band wagon for 5 years of all the Information Overload I was able to cram in my head, I EVENTUALLY FOUND HIM. So my goals are the same which is to continue to shape my business model after his own success.

If you are asking is it to late then it might be, for you at least.

Erase the self doubt and set some goals and take action.

I never made anything until I stopped buying WSO's and started taking action.
Even if the action does not show results right away you will learn a piece of the puzzle.

The hardest thing for me was to get over my self doubts and not worry about doing everything perfect, it will drive you insane. Don't worry about having the perfect wordpress theme or content for example, all the little things you worry about will just keep you going in circles.


What works for me may not work for others, but about a month ago I sat down and did a "personal inventory" I had about 10 unfinished websites and other web 2.0 properties , things were a mess.

I had one niche website that I forgot about totally, I decided to spend just 10 minutes a day updating the content and it's now on page one of google in the 4th spot (from page 3)for it's search term. This is a website I had totally forgot about, how does one do that? I simply had to many directions I was going in so I simplified what I was doing and dedicated myself to building income streams and not posting here 5 times a day.

I also own a contracting company and it's the busy season, so most of the time I am working during the day. Since it's a rainy day I have time to work on projects and post here.

I can't give you any advice to motivate you into making it online, part of it is mindset and I just wanted to let you know that getting over the "chaos brain" has been a big challenge for me and others, so don't think you are alone when it comes to self doubt.

If you have purchased a lot of WSO's go back and look at a few that are simple and have actions steps you can follow. Pick one and work on it and nothing else for a week or two , follow the steps exactly and see what happens. If nothing else you will get into a habit of working in a logical step by step fashion that can change your whole outlook.

You make a great point. Though the industry as a whole isn't going anywhere and lead generation more generally isn't going anywhere, there are aspects of the industry that are trendy.

Like most online strategies, CPA is based on traffic, and traffic IS trendy. PPC changes all the time in terms of what you can do, what you can't do, and that goes for most traffic sources. Social media is obviously trendy.

Then there are niches and offer types that are trendy as pointed out.

So the model is stable, the implementation of the model is trendy...but that doesn't mean you are late.

In fact, because of the dynamic nature, this means more opportunity for newcomers..in my opinion .
