Content Lock Ideas?

Hi guys,

I'm stuck with content locks network, I dont know which niche to enter...

Does anyone can give me some tips or niche to target with this kind of network?

Tap into your creative senses, tayuyaa. There is a WORLD of niches out there that work brilliantly with content locking. The more original your content for a broad audience, the better shot you have at success due to minimized competition.

Creativity is the key here. The niche that I use content locking with is music, movies, and video games

Just about anything that people are looking for will work. Just set up a webpage and convince people that you have THE best information of it's type. Think about things that people may search for. Tips, tutorials, info. Game tutorials would be an example but think outside the box as well. Millions of people work out for example, so you could have workout tips. Just think about things that people do and what they may search for, put together some of that content based on other sources, then SEO for it.

Has anyone here had any success with content lockers and ebooks? I bought a website last year which came with an ebook with MRR rights but i haven't sold any copies of the ebook yet.

I was wondering if i created a video about the ebook then linked to a content locker so people can download it would work well.

Content locking... I have mixed feelings about it. I made a good deal of money with it back in the day, and I may come back to it in the future. I'm not about to give away the secret I used (I keep telling myself I'll write an ebook one day when I'm ready to cash out on all my experience).

My recommendation is to NOT steal content, or pretend to have content when you don't. In other words, do not deceive visitors.

@cooler1: Content locking an ebook is an excellent idea - try it out. Since the ebook hasn't been selling anyway, you have nothing to lose. I have some success with this method.

E-books work very well with content locking. Especially if you're promoting it's value with a video and the usual route of building awareness, it's an outstanding campaign. Feel free to pick our brains for other ideas around it.

If you have something unique I doubt people will try to find it online.

Its all about the way you present your offer, make it irresistible and you will have plenty of people who will download it!

As always, make sure you own the rights to whatever you content lock.

How To Sites- (building designs, potato gun, skateboard ramp)
Music Lessons- (video, guide, chords, etc)
Graphics- (Photos, images, icons, designs, patterns)
Games- (Flash, Online Games - beneficial if you use a timer to have the content locker jump mid game)
Templates - (Word-press, Joomla, HTML,)
Programming- (HTML,PHP,Scripts,)
Game Cheats- (PS3,Xbox,PC game cheats)
Ebooks-(How to, instructional, etc.)
Alternative Check out- (Complete an offer to checkout)
Doc. Files to PDF Files - (Have users complete an offer in order to have there files converted)
Fax Sites- (allow users to fax online)
Membership upgrades - (Allow users to complete offer to upgrade a forum membership)
Quality Content- (Content lock blogs, quotes, etc.)
Musicians- (Instead of charging $ for your music, have users complete an offer)
Android/Apple Apps- Monetize your apps, with content locking to an upgrade, or allowing users to complete an offer to gain more in game chips/tokens)

This is the strategy I sent to my list yesterday.

You always have to think what people are after. Oh and it should also be something you are interested in.

For eg: an upcoming song or an upcoming movie and you can just upload it on YouTube and drive traffic. After a few seconds you can lock it

Very noob idea but trust me works very well. And I suppose the simpler you keep things , the better for you. And don't forget to upload many vids of similar nature so that if one gets taken down you won't be badly effected.
