So I am outsourcing some CPA stuff and want to know if it will screw me in taxes. So I am outsourcing someone to get me real CPA signups, so if the CPA pays me $40 for the offer and I pay the person $20 I am only really getting $20 cuz I had to pay the other person. So let say I technically made 10,000 for the year and had to pay 5,000 to the other person. Is it worth it for taxes? I haven't setup a company yet and am just doing it by myself and plan on paying the other person under the table until I get something setup. Any advice?

Tough question to answer.... Honestly, these type of questions are better off asked to a professional in that field like and accountant since it is dealing with the LAW.

I think it depends on where you live... I live in Brazil and here I don't pay taxes on the revenue, but on the profits, so it wouldn't be a problem for me. However, the taxes are pretty high here, so I need to do decent volume to make it worth it. Anyway, I think that your main concern shouldn't be your government, but the guy getting the sign ups for you. If it's real sign ups, if the guy really knows how to get the leads and can run with a decent ROI getting just 50% of the payout, why wouldn't he just deal directly with the CPA network or even with the advertiser and get all the money? It doesn't make sense to me... So be careful with people offering this type of service, most of the times there is a catch and the advertiser doesn't make money with the leads. If this is the case, you may be risking your CPA accounts. William

Don't know about taxes. But Be REALLY careful about those who offer REAL signups. They use VPN servers to hide theyr IP's and then submit info themselves. There are tens of people who have used outsourced someone to get them REAL leads, and after few weeks they get banned by the network. Think about it. Why would someone sell you real leads, when they could signup to the network and earn double or triple that? |

Yeah, first just be cautious. I have no idea what you are doing, but just make sure you are getting good lead quality from whomever is getting you the leads. I have done things like this offline without a problem, but there is risk when you aren't directly in control of lead quality. But as for accounting, you will need to seek a professional, but here are my unprofessional opinions.... You need to book all the revenue, that's the most important thing. Don't book revenue = fraud. Most networks report to the IRS your earnings if they are over the threshold so the tax guys with big muscles will know how much you should be reporting. Then you report the expense going out. There are various ways to report it depending on the rest of your financial info. Some people simply expense it as a contractor expense, but then opens the can of worms about workers liability, etc. So in truth, with 10 rev and 5 expense, your taxable income is only 5, not the full 10, but you do need to show it all coming in and then half going out on the books. of course this really depends on where you live. Many tax codes are similar but there are some crazy ones out there. You really need to speak to an accounting professional wherever you live!!!
