Hey guys, this may sound like a dumb question, but do people that fill out offers for free stuff (ipads, giftcards, clothes, etc...) actually get the opportunity to receive the offers. Or is it all just a big fat scheme to take information from people without any real reciprocation for the users? Honest answers are appreciated...thanks |

However, the lead quality to the merchant just plain sucks. Once the call the user for service XYZ, the person isnt interested as he wants the free ipad or whatever. Also, the payouts on these offers arent that great (few bucks) so IMO its not worth pursuing. I concentrate on high-end lead generation like finance and property. Leads are up to $90 so I make a lotta loot this way ![]() Any questions just let me know, Nick

Yes they are normally legit meaning you can get the prize, but there are nearly always lots of obstacles and steps in the way before getting there. Nobody in their right mind is going to be handing out iPads in exchange for an email. Of course the merchant will need to get the same or more value in exchange for the iPad. So a big scheme, no, but of course the sales page of these email submits is going to make it seem a lot easier than it really is. Take a look at the fine print!

Generally no, the user has no chance of getting the reward, in some cases, they can if they want to sign up to tons of offers, get approved for a credit card, and basically end up costing themselves $2000 I even know sites that if a person does do all the offers they never get the reward. Generally the reward offered is to get the data and monetize it through bait and switch. We run a few email submits at any given time and we do give out the rewards though they are usually small gift cards. |

This is an old discussion... ![]() Well, most fo them do deliver the prize. However, people obviously don't receive it just by supplying their email address. Here is the process used by most email/zip submit offers: Email/Zip code -> Complete form -> Offers (may involve a cost) The form is usually sold to insurance companies or other similar businesses, but the real money is in the offers. People have to complete offers and need to pay for some of them. After completing a certain number of offers they qualify for the gift. They always get something for what they pay (e.g. if they buy a magazine, they do get the magazine), so they are not paying directly for the gift, so it can be still considered a gift. Is this process legit? You decide. Obviously, no one can simply start giving iPhones away, they need to get something in return. Considering this fact, the process used by the email submit offers, being legit or not, is necessary. If you don't like the way the advertisers treat the customers and the conditions for people to receive the prizes, just don't promote email/zip submits. There are many other types of offers out there, so you won't be out of the CPA game just because of it. ![]() William

It's legit, but the person doing the offers has to jump through a lot of hoops to get the prize at the end.

If you are promoting an email submit offer, for example, you are paid as soon as they enter their email address. However, they will often need to complete several offers and sometimes are even required to refer others who complete the same actions, before they are awarded the free iPad (or other gift). Most people won't go through the entire process of getting the freebie, as it is rather involved and lengthy. I've never actually gone through completion of a CPA offer myself, but I'm thinking of trying it out, to see form firsthand experience if they actually deliver as promised.
