I would suggest getting some introductory WSO's and read through them!

Then come back to the forum and post your questions! That is how a WSO becomes so valuable!

Don't even think of your location as a problem, if you can show networks that you are serious and dedicated and can make them money then they will accept you, it's as simple as that.

Regarding the steps to follow, there is an endless numbers of possibilities out there, so it's hard to answer to such a vague question...

First, you need to decide on free or paid advertising. Then, you have to be more specific and pick one particular traffic source. After this, you must choose a niche, some offers and define a strategy to promote them. It can be direct linking, using an advertorial lander, using a review page, capturing leads, etc... So you have to decide on your approach, create an action plan and start testing.

Obviously, this post doesn't get even close to the answer that you want, but it's the best piece of advice I can give you. You must be very specific and know exactly what you're doing and what are your goals. Once you have it defined, you must test, test and test until you figure out how it works. There isn't a secret or simple steps to give you, it's all about defining a course of action and following the plan until you crack the code.

Here is what helped me when I first got started doing this stuff awhile ago. Start simple until you get going.

1) Follow the advice in the thread about getting approved.

2) What are you interested in, what do you know a lot about, what can you talk about and feel like you're making sense? Establish this and then find a product that matches your answers.

3) Google some different terms related to your product. If you are promoting a protein supplement, then google something like "protein to build muscle" or "protein before working out" or "working out forums + protein."

4) Find some forums, discussion boards, or yahoo answer questions related to your product offer. Start posting relevant information. DON'T PROMOTE YOUR OFFER.

5) After 10-15 relative posts on a forum, and once you gather a following, slip a sig in your profile but no hard selling. Maybe: "For anyone wondering, this helped me build muscle and I used to hoolahoop cheerios!"

6) Wait for it, you WILL get some clicks. But keep helping out. After a day or two, take the sig out of your profile and start being helpful for 10-15 posts again.

7) Add the sig back and get moving again. You wanna catch different people at different times and have them all view your intentions differently. Hope that makes sense.

8) On yahoo answers write a long answer to a question and slip your link in just once.

9) Once you get the hang of it, scale more forums, and make some money, move on to other traffic sources here in the forum. I'm a fan of advertising in the newspaper, others are not. Maybe building a few content websites would be a good option.

10) Take action. Good luck.
