Default Starting as a merchant on CPA networks

Hey all i'm new here and would like to chat to anyone who has had success with becoming a merchant on the cpa networks.

My 1st cpa offer was due to go live this week but I pulled my IO so I could make sure everything was just right. I was going to process with paypal but figured it would be better going with my high risk processor just in case.

Would love to chat to anyone with limited or years worth of experience in the field.

Cheers

Brit

I have a lot of experience with being a merchant with in CPA networks, I have actually set up over 50 merchant accounts with the company I work for. I am leading one of the world's biggest CPA campaigns, with Groupon in the UK so if you want any advice let me know.

You wanted to use PayPal as a processor and you were going to go on a CPA network? Did the network even know that? I don't think any network would even let your offer go out if you were just using pay-pal as a processor. That's a kiss of death right there. Make no mistake paypal WILL freeze your account if you get any volume going.

Do you have fraud controls in place?
Do you have a call center in place?
Do you have up-sells in place?
Do you have more than 1 merchant account ready and active?
Charge-back controls?
How much cash on hand do you have?
Can you do 10k a week in payouts without blinking an eye?

It's NOT easy to do this.. not at all.

$600 a day? Easy! - Super Affiliates Contact ME for to get in on this private health supplement offer.
!!! ONLY FOR THOSE WHO PUSH VOLUME !!!

Hi JayInOrlando its one of the smaller networks the manager there assured me that other clients had used paypal. I wasnt so sure myself so decided to pull the IO I didnt want my account freezing as you have rightly pointed out.

Ive already got a high risk account with ccbill so will use that instead of paypal. So to answer your questions mate...

Do you have fraud controls in place? CCbill do yes
Do you have a call center in place? No
Do you have up-sells in place? will have yes
Do you have more than 1 merchant account ready and active? Will have two when im ready.
Charge-back controls? Yes
How much cash on hand do you have? Thats not somthing Id like to make public hope you understand that.
Can you do 10k a week in payouts without blinking an eye? Per week no i have a net 30 agreement.

I believe Mike Hill had a good course out last year about this. Don't know if it's still available, but it may be a good learning program to check out if it is.

Hey there brittannia,
the best advice i can give you is for you to read an ebook by Kacper M. Postawski , he made $4.6 million in 6 months. he gives his case study as well as mistakes he did during his journey.

here is the link
cpatraffickeys.com/5CPAKeys.pdf

let me know any problems you might have, contact me on skype if you want, i would love to have my own CPA offer as well, i just havent got the funds to do it at the moment

As Kenster said, Mike Hill's CPA Tsunami is amazing as well and you should definitely look into it

Andre thank you very much Ive already read that PDF theres some great info in there, I am more wanting to just reach out and make contact with others already doing it.

Im 90% of the way there now and sourcing new products will not be an issue at all which seems to be the stage that stops others. Theres a few areas id like a little more advise on such as the best carts to use in conjunction with the offer landing page, ie integration of forms as so forth.

I get the feeling that theres a certain degree of gatekeeping going on with a view to keeping others out of a select circle but that maybe wrong on my part but its the feeling I get. That said there are always those out there willing to help so I am asking those very same people to get in touch with me and impart a little bit of knowledge.

I hope you manage to find your own products and get started yourself, keep in touch.

I see what you mean, but to do that I think the best thing would be to go to an Internet Marketing seminar or something similar, as most of the big guys like to keep a private profile themselves.

In terms of the cart, you just have to make sure that you can process payments from different countries, although I would advise you to ask your CPA network to give you traffic from UK/US/Canada only for a start, as this will be high quality traffic, and see how you get on. Sub-ID tracking is also a must. I'm not sure on which shopping cart to go for, i heard 1shoppingcart is decent but it doesn't have that many features, a paid option would be much better here

I agree, also remember that the more money people make, the greed factor kicks in more and more, unfortunately.

Yes me too, I will be finish college in a couple of months and I am hoping to get a full-time job to fund my IM career, and take it from there. Or you could employ me to be part of your customer support service for you offer, when you get flooded by traffic

Cheers mate and good look in college been a long time since I had to do anything like that. I think you are very wise to be wanting to get into IM after seeing what's happening to the jobs market in this country!

HI britannia, this is a great thread. If you are comfortable hope you could share some imformation from my questions below.

1- What type of offer that you push? Email submit? cost per sale? And what type of product? physical product or digital product?

2- Estimated cost to develope the offer's website and the product.

3- What kind of problem do you face when try to submit your offer to cpa network.

Thanks in advance.

Mike is indeed amazing, it still amazes me the fact that he charges $25k for a day's consulting, and he gets so many clients. Not to mention the multi-millionaires he has created as a result. Mike is the real deal!

You will definitely want to go to your bank and get a rock solid merchant account agreement.

Any bank or payment processor that sees you suddenly dealing with huge volume (which is what will happen if your cpa offer takes off) will be highly suspicious and most likely freeze your account, but your affiliates will still be promoting your stuff so you get in BIG trouble really really fast when you can't pay them or withdraw any of your money.

Is it possible for a small offline web company to create its own CPA offer via any of these big networks i.e CPA on businesses that want a free bespoke website lets say?

I don't see why not. Some networks are more geared towards certain types of offers but you have to remember that there are literally hundreds of networks out there.

I would test out a smaller network first or put a cap if using a larger network as they can drive some serious traffic sometimes. Be sure to optimize the heck out of your offer first to make sure it converts and the backend funnel works well!
