Default ppv to cpa nb question - before I start..

Hi Warriors..

I'm about to venture into PPV/cpa...

Can someone explain how the popunders work - if you can target any website you want, or do they have to be already in a network. Confused about this..

So, say I want to target the top weight loss, fitness or stock sites.. Is this possible??

Is this what is meant by url targeting?

many thanks..

Liz

For pop ups or pop unders you would either target a website URL or keyword and whenever someone visited a site that matches your targeting your pop up or under would appear.

You can target any urls your want. Any time someone with the adware installed on their pc visits a url you are targeting your ad will popup

Thanks for clarifying guys...

So, Matt.. do users know they have this adware, or is it installed without them knowing.

Users are aware that they have the adware installed, or in some cases it's in smallprint if you know what I mean.

For example, Leadimpact was formerly known as Zango, A searchbar and adware company you'd sign up to so you could receive free screensavers/games/ringtones/emoticons etc etc. You're also liable to view CPV ads (Popunders)

There's nothing illegal about it at all so you don't have to worry there.

But what you do have to remember is it's interuptive marketing, so 99% of the time the viewer won't be expecting your ad, so you need to make your ad VERY appealing, through shocking the user, or showing them why they should be on your page rather than the one they're on now.

I also strongly recomend using landing pages if that isn't something you don't already plan to do. 9 time outof 10 they are more effective. You can also use this method to catch lead so you can market to them in the future.

Hope this helps.

All the best, Popey.
