I'm waiting 8 days now. I was approved for roku but as for netflix, there's no response yet. Hope they will approve me.

I was denied. I'm a non-us affiliate. Might that be a reason?

Edit: After sending them a e-mail for reconsideration I received the following:

Thank you for your note. We're not able to approve your application at
this time. Though Netflix does not provide feedback on the application
denial process, I do encourage you to apply to other Google Affiliate
Network advertiser programs.

Here is my blog. please tell me if you have any suggestion.

I think it's because you don't have enough content... the site that you have doesn't have anything except 3 youtube video links... maybe you could check mine out - I got approved.

It doesn't matter if you are not from the US. It's mostly the content of your blog. See if you can add additional stuff... or link it here, I'll see if I can help.

In these cases, a movie review site is one which could work best. Just showcase some of the latest movies in the last two months, and do a small 4-5 liner write up on the good points of that movie, that's all that's required. Try not to target Netflix or any similar company, just make it a simple review site. See the one I made for reference in case you would like to:

Just my $0.02, I'm no expert on this though .

i doubt is that easy now.

adsense account is very hard to get, many steps to go tru.

and u need longer history to ur site then they approve.

if u just made it within a week they will reject.

Sorry, but I beg to differ... I started a blog for a client and applied for adsense, and he got approved too - Adsense > GAN > Netflix... it's not easy, yes I give you that... I think it all depends on how genuine your site looks... start off a blog, post three or four entries in there and then apply for adsense. Keep updating your blog regularly, maybe two or three posts a week, make sure that you keep updating your blog till you get approved... this whole process should not take more than a week and a half if it does get extended.

Well, I had a disappointing first run.

I put my handouts in a couple of visible high traffic areas and didn't have a single conversion. Either my copy isn't compelling enough or Netlfix has become too saturated now. I am in Canada so we only got the streaming service a little while ago, but I feel like everyone I talk to is already a subscriber. I am going to have to re-tool my approach I guess.

How is everyone else doing?

Help!

I created a Blogger blog related to movie reviews, etc., 2 weeks ago and have been steadily adding posts every couple days. Applied for GAN and was approved.

So in anticipation of getting ready to apply for Netflix, I removed the adsense from my blog. But, when I view it, the ads are gone from below the posts and the sidebar, but I still have a banner ad across the top below the header. So I went into my Adsense account and removed the site in the list of approved sites. The banner ad is still there.

What else can I do to get rid of the ad?

Edit: Never mind, I figured it out. Under the "monetize" section I removed Adsense, but the banner at the top was separate and not included under that section. I had to edit that section separately.

Declined!

I followed the steps exactly, except that I made more than 3 posts. I thought a little more content would be better, since only 3 posts might be considered to be thin content. I created a Blogger blog about movie reviews and news, and made 8 posts over a period of 2 weeks: movie reviews, and a list of movies released on DVD each of the 2 weeks.

I also created a nice header and uploaded it so my blog wouldn't look like all the others. I spent a lot of time making my posts unique. I also followed the advice about making my Username similar to my blog name.

Roku approved me almost immediately, and after 3 days Netflix declined me. So maybe it works for some, but certainly not for all. It kind of irritates me that I spent 2 weeks of time, thought and effort and got declined, when others slapped up 3 posts in 2 days and got approved.

Apparently it's just a roll of the dice and they really don't care if your blog is unique.
