Why don't you get another hosting account? There are many companies that would be happy to host your site and let you run cron jobs.

I think you should change the hosting account for sure. Do it quick. But this time check every feature you want and make your mind with the best one.

It always surprises me when a host does not support CRON jobs. There is so much competition out there for hosting that you would think they would offer all the options to keep up. But for whatever reason some hosts cut this out. Does anyone know why? Is there a security threat with CRON jobs or some similar practical reason that they cut them out?

Well I did some research on this an found the answer... CRON jobs are avoided by some hosts because they can overload the server. This makes sense if you have a ton of users running them each day. Anyways, if you are in this spot where your host does not offer a CRON job function, there are several third party providers which can run them for you. For example, try out: OnlineCRONJobs.com It's free and works great. |

Fatcow is one of the worst hosting service provide i ever seen. Read why fatcow sucks. it's better to spend few $ and get account on hostgator or godaddy but big no to fatcow.

I had this problem once when trying to use a self-hosted autoresponder. The solution for me was simple: switch the hosting company. I don't think there is anything else you can do... W
