About to run a test

I'm about to run my first test using a flyer, and I want to get some input about my plan of attack.

Here's what I'm planning on doing...

I have a payday loan offer that pays $35 for an application and allows incentives in the form of points.

I'm going to offer a 100 point bonus for signing up that will be immediately redeemable for a $5 amazon gift card. They will have to send me a screen shot of their success screen to get the gift card.

I'll collect their email, so I can send them the card, and maybe a few offers...

I'm going to distribute the flyers at the low end grocery stores in town and see how it goes. Gonna start with 1,000.

What's the typical conversion with this kind of thing? I'm thinking I'll probably break even at like .5% because I'm probably going to print these myself on my printer.

I'm going to direct them to a page on one of my sites that explains what they need to do, and the link to the offer will be there.

Are you going to hand them out directly or place them on cars? Do you have a major sports team in your area? Since its Friday how about the mall or movies?

I know I dont ever take anything out of anyones hands when I exit the grocery store.

I understand the whole low end grocery store thing but these days a lot of people could use the payday loan.

Just a thought..

I was just going to put them on the cars. I've never done this, should probably read some more on the forum and see if there are some best practices.

I won't be doing it until tomorrow or Sunday. Might hit the local church parking lots with an Easter Special!

Make sure you run this by your am first to ensure this method is ok for the offers you want to run

Good idea. I have spoken with him about some other offline methods I'm going to be testing (just set one up actually), and they were fine as long as I directed traffic to my site, then to the offer. (not just using a redirect)

But I'll double check this one since it's an incentive thing.

Check all local laws and your AM...If you are just sending them to your website and then to the offer then all will be ok about 99% of the time

Offline marketing does work!
