I do not do these much anymore, but I was seeing my best conversions using very simple templates like w2010 or something and then use text links instead of banners Good Luck, CHAD | |

You should primary focus on a user, not on the ads. Build a website that looks not only built for ads or making money. Build a relationship, than start slowly with the ads.

I use a variety of themes from Woo themes to Studiopress. What I've found is not the theme per se, but the layout makes more of a difference. My highest converting scheme is to have a 300x250 block on the top left of an article. The second has is a 728x90 banner on top. The 160x600 sidebars only convert at 25% of the others. In terms of the "feel" of the site. It should look like a real blog if you are targeting personal health and fitness issues. If you are going for insurance, I've found that a more professional layout works better. For a food type offer, a "home-made" looking site works well. Keep in mind that there are no hard and fast rules. You'll have to split-test themes. This is easy to do if you have a theme like Studiopress that allows you to load a base theme and child themes. Good luck. |

OptimizePress is awesome, and the closest to non-bloggy looking that I've seen yet! Quote:
