Crazy Thought... ?

As you all know I have made my landing page and everything, I was just wondering if it were possible for my lander to be on at least the 4th or 5th page of google's search results for anything related to making money online or making money from home....

If it is possible, how do I go about achieving this?

It is possible .

But,the competition for "making money online" or "making money from home" is so tough that you are going to need an effort and time to bring your page to the first page of the search engine results page .

You would need some SEO tactics in place. I would start with high quality content and backlinks.

I have heard of SEO but I never got around researching it...

Is it basically what I am doing right now? Writing articles and making backlinks to my lander?

That is a great way to get backlinks YES, but you should start to research how to make your links more effective for SEO

You can use video marketing, forum, blog comments, and etc for more backlinks.

But you want your links to be on High Quality websites that are relevant to your landing page.

P.S- SEO is very complex (can be simple though), but if you do a quick search on the SEO Forum you should find some help.

SEO means "search engine optmization". Yes, that's what you're doing: trying to get your landing page rank better on search engines. However, it's almost impossible to rank on the the 1st page for such competitive keywords. If I were you, I would rather find a different niche. Anyway, good luck.

Since you've chosen a so tough niche and decided to stick to it, may be you should change the way you get traffic, instead of getting traffic from Search Engine(You need to do so many works and wait for long time and the result is uncertain), you can use other ways to get stable traffic sources, such as PPC, Social Media websites, Web 2.0 websites and forum posting.

I am saving up to use facebook ads for ppc to drive traffic to my lander but in the long run I am practicing and using free methods to try and break even with what I am paying for my domain and hosting...

This is tough

I think it's tough to fight for positions on a search engine with just a landing page. If would do that I'd create a blog, make keyword research, create relevant posts and generate floods of backlinks.

Of course SEO is not as simple as that, but what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't try to get good positions on Google with just a single HTML page. A Wordpress blog would have much better chances.

Yes....you definitely will not end up on the first page with a simple squeeze or landing page for those keywords, but wordpress would be a great start!

why dont you try different but related keywords, that will work fine and if you see great results then you can try ranking for "make money online"

It's possible, but not probable.

If you are reallly serious about this you will need to research seo and start building your site out much more and get link building
