I am really new to CPA so I don't understand all the logistics of the business, but as I delve deeper into it, I'm becoming intrigued at how the vendors are making money. I have seen some nice offers with $8/lead payouts for "free ipad" phone pin submissions, and I am wondering what exactly is being done with those leads. I know mobile marketing is about to explode and I want to jump in before the whole thing get too saturated or phone spam protection gets more sophisticated. For a beginner, obviously it is easiest to build a simple landing page and let the CPA network handle the rest. On the other hand, I pick things up very quickly when I focus on something and maybe I should be shooting a little higher business-wise and make better use of my lead collection. I feel like I would be squandering an opportunity by handing over good leads to a CPA for 8 bucks a pop when there is obviously a bigger picture involved since companies can afford the payouts. It is one thing if you are promoting a real business like a gambling or dating website that you would/could never build, but mobile submissions seem pretty generic and non-targeted. What is actually being done on the backend? |

The mobile offers you're describing have reoccurring charges once the consumer opts into the program. the charges will usually vary from $9.99 to $19.99 depending on the services the consumer uses... Take a look at this offer and if you read the fine print you'll notice this little stipulation, "I will be charged Mixed Club service fee of $9.99 per month" Get your favorite Hip Hop, Voice tones, Games or Country ringtones directly to your mobile phone. - us.hot4cell.net So that's how they can afford to pay out those rates...as far as what they do with the phone numbers and brokering the data or using it for re-marketing, I'm not too sure to be honest. |
