Hey guys, so i'm doing some keyword research but i'm not sure if i should even consider Broad? Should i only be looking at Phrase and Exact? Also what would be a minimum number of results for the keyword to be worthy enough (Local Monthly). Thanks guys! I'm finally taking proper action and doing homework |

Ok i've come to a conclusion after reading many posts - You should focus on Exact. But what is the minimum amount of local monthly searches for a keyword to be profitable? I'm finding 100-500 in most cases. Is this worth the time?

What are you doing the keyword research for? Will you be using the keyword data to do SEO? Or will you be using it to do PPC? For SEO, you will need 1000 uniques a day or more in order to do proper testing. You may find after building a site that even with that much traffic you cannot convert a CPA offer. The "better" way to do this is to test the traffic with PPC. Running a PPC campaign will show you 2 important pieces of data: 1. The true number of searches that you wil get; 2. Whether the keyword actually converts. My experience is that the keyword tools are at least 30% inaccurate. In addition, you don't get the full list of keywords that you would had you run an Adwords campaign. Good luck to you. |

Yes i'm testing with PPC - so i've generated a list of 300 or so keywords. Would this be fit for a PPC campaign? Most have around est. of 100-300 exact local searches. I'm looking to launch my first proper ppc campaign son ![]() Advice appreciated. ALso thanks for the tips above! |

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS exact, broad is way to deceiving For traffic 100-300 is good for easy keywords to target quickly with a simple post, or you can mention a few keywords with 100-300 searches inside one post. for searches of 1000 + you should make a post and drop links to it to rank first. Also make your post title different from the others, say you are targetting the keyword "how to kill dandelions" if someone searches for this on google and see's 5 other first page posts with the exact title and yours, why will they click on yours? Make your title something like how to kill dandelions - quickly and efficiently (something like that) this way google will see you as unique, and so will people so increased CTR |

Always go with Exact match and keywords traffic should be around 100-500. That's how I do it.
