Is your aim to promote CPA offers via your website or are you just setting one up because you think it will help you get into the bigger networks. A simple blog won't help you much, you would be better off saying you work with PPC initially, that way you don't need to show a website of any kind. Then build your website and add your your creatives later on. If you show them some empty blog or half arsed website and say you promote via those the bigger networks will simply decline you, you're just not worth the hassle unless you can prove it has decent traffic. |

I have posted these questions on another thread in this forum, but they are relevant to this post, so here they are again. Take some time out, and make a Plan. You are new to CPA, but have you any experience of PPC ? What market do you want to focus on ? What type of offers do you want to promote ? Do you know what type of offers there are ? email submit, zip submit, paid trial, free trial lead etc ? of not go and research those first, so you at least know what your talking about when you talk to a CPA network How are you going to drive traffic to those offers ? Will you create your own landing pages? What do keywords cost in the markets you are looking at ? What method do you have for testing to see if a campaign works ? There are CPA Network owners on here, and I am sure they will tell you they don't care what your site is built with, but they do care how you propose to send business to them | |

That's good advice about telling the networks how you are going to promote. But all of the CPA applications I've seen STILL ask you for a website. Some don't even have a box for you to tell them how you are going to promote. Some do have a comment box at the end. But my point is that they still ask for a website.

In my experience, it's not the website that gets you accepted into the better CPA networks. I got accepted into a few when I was just starting out, but I had to talk to the account rep first. As far as technical experience, all they really wanted to know was that I knew how to build a basic website and put in the appropriate links. What got me accepted, though, was the fact that I'm very aggressive and dead serious.

If you want to make website, just to get accepted to CPA nets, don't make a new website that promote affiliate when you don't know how to promote the website itself. It's better be a business profile website, ie. internet marketing company. Or just a professional IM blog. Take a look of any IM blogs, ie. shoemoney blog. It might not affects the decision whether you'll get accepted or not, but it boost your confidence. Take a week to learn about CPA itself. Grab 10 CPA networks, see their application forms and try to answer it. Post it to your new site. If you meet new term, learn as much as you can. Learn, accumulate, post. After you can answer and fill out application form along with Dave Ward's questions above... Affiliate Networks will accept you, even if you're in India. You only need to fax / scan W-8BEN tax form. Stay confidence and tell them that you're targetting US/Canada market. Otherwise they will reject you flat :P, half kidding. At least, there's higher rate of acceptance than saying you're looking for international offers. Last advice. Don't wait too long, don't learn too much. Make a deadline for yourself when are you actually going to fill and send an application form. |
