| *QUICK NOTE - I will be selling old clutter (and yes, I will make money from that), but I'm talking about something a little "off-grid" here. What's up everyone? Over the last few weeks, I've managed to put together a lot of great ideas for promoting simple CPA offers offline. It seems there are quite a few people here who are doing well with it, so I figured why not give it a shot? While I plan on testing a few other offline approaches, an idea struck me late last night that might be able to make me an extra couple hundred bucks this weekend (if all goes well). Here's the deal - I'm having a yard sale over the weekend to get rid of some clutter around the house. That's when it hit me - there will be a sea of people coming in and out of my garage all weekend, each one of them looking for amazing finds at a fair price. Once I realized this, I thought of a unique twist I could put out there to make money without selling a THING! What's that unique "twist" you might ask? Let's just say I'll be taking advantage of a couple CPA offers that fit this demographic and will present it to them in a way they can't refuse! Here's what I've done to get ready for the weekend: - Went through a couple of my CPA networks I belong to and picked out 2 unique offers that would appeal to the "deal finders" crowd. From there, I knew what I chose had to be a simple, free offer that is quick to fill out. Because of this, e-mail submits fit the bill. - Once I found those offers, I picked up 2 domains (one for each promotion). I then redirected these domains to each offer, masking the domain as well (for branding purposes and to keep things consistent). - I've created small notecard-size advertisements that tell the prospect how they can "win prize X" or "get a free x". I simply tell them where to go and what to do (i.e. go to example.com, enter your e-mail address and hit submit). By explaining the process, there is no confusion to the end user. They know EXACTLY what they need to do in order to get the result they are after. - I have 2 small cardboard displays that I will place these notcard-size flyers in on the day of the sale. I will also place them where I'm collecting cash and will hand them to each person that purchases anything as well. So, after this is all said and done, the goal is to have those interested prospects go home, jump on their computer and head to the site listed, follow the simple 1-2 punch instructions and BAM - there's some extra cash in my pocket without much effort. I'm using two different offers to "split test" this crowd and see what will perform better. If I actually see results, I could target the same demographics in a variety of other ways to expand profits (think bigger - flea markets, discount stores, etc). I'll let you all know after this weekend what the results were. I have a feeling that if it is successful, there will be more leads slowly tricking in as the days go on. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Either way, it's worth a shot and I haven't lost anything other than the cost of two domains (one a .com for $7.49 and a .info for $1.99 - my printing costs and paper were zero, as I was allowed to print up some flyers in my office at the 9 to 5). If anything, I hope this inspires some of you to put a unique twist on YOUR marketing efforts to help you squeeze extra cash out of places you never thought possible! |

| I see where you're coming from, but you truly have to consider how much stuff "freebie and deal seekers" sign up for on a regular basis. There is no obligation on their end, really. If they choose to sign up, it's at their own will. All I'm doing is presenting the offer - it's up to them to seal the deal. Besides, it's an e-mail address they are giving up, not a $100 bill.

Good idea to attract that type of crowd on a day when they aren't that busy. I bet most of those fliers will get tossed and forgotten, I am guessing about 10% success rate of actually going to your site, and then about 1% overall sign up rate of all the cards you hand out. Probably not worth the time and cost of printing them, but I would still try it as I like to test every idea. Every strike is one swing closer to that home run, if you aren't swinging, you won't hit any home runs!

It's not as bad as him sending them to a rebill offer. They'd really be pissed. LOL |

I'll definitely keep everyone posted. I always like to try different things here and there. It's obviously not a sustainable income, but if I can squeeze out a few extra bucks without much effort this weekend, it's worth it.

I think you'd be smarter collecting email addresses for yourself, but that's just me |

I had 5 people hand out flyers at a flea market (large one) for the Netflix offer a few years ago and the results were pretty good. Even set up a stand once where I was just handing out the netflix flyers. Didn't track to see which results were coming from where, but it was pretty good. Brings back memories of the days when I was selling at the flea market to make money for real |

I think it is a great idea! I just would be worried about sending people to "spammy" offers since they actually could get upset you recommended something to them that sends them 100 emails a week. But it is people like yourself that think of the "new" ways to make money that will eventually find a way and bank huge ![]() Good Luck Man, CHAD
