Seldom can you direct-link to offers when purchasing traffic; at least for search traffic, and high-end media buys, and if you're planning to use SEO you're just wasting your efforts linking to dynamic, randomly hosted landing page.

All you need is an offer and traffic ! Sounds simple to say but its not that easy to find an offer that really works coupled with traffic. And even if you find one, remember there are millions of affiliates from hundreds of networks working on the same affiliate offer as you. Not trying to pull down your thoughts but as pointed out before, these days affiliate marketing needs a little bit of thinking out of box to achieve the desired result or even get a ROI.

Getting traffic is the main problem for many starting up with cpa marketing. However, it's not as difficult as it sounds if you know how. Using banner ads that stand out from the rest of the "stock" banners provided by the cpa operator is one way to get clicks. Design your own banners and link to the offer. Experiment, try ugly banners, banners with text only, green banners - you know, think different.

You can also try ppv (pay per view) advertising but again be different. Don't send people to the home page of websites, send them to the inner pages that have the offers where people buy. Do this via a landing page that is of similar colour and look to the website you are targeting. These are the type of things you need to think about. Outside the box thinking - lots of traffic - you bet!

Conceptually CPA is easy but getting the traffic is the hard part. Remember free traffic normally takes a bit of knowledge and experience to drive and paid traffic is paid so there is downside risk...and most people lose money to start.

So yes, cpa is great, I love it, but it does take some learning. It's certainly worth it and if you can grasp a traffic source quickly, then you can make money quickly!
