Default Trial bottles...conversion rate?

hey guys I currently have a website with free content on gaining muscle and weight and I'm looking to add CPA offers and I'm currently looking at some at offervault and I see some good ones that give out $40.00 per offer completed but the offer is that the company will send the person a trial bottle of muscle milk etc. What are the conversion rates on these kinds of offers...

example:LeanBodyx.com - Muscle Builder - Trial Offer (US/CA) | Affiliate Programs, Offers

Well honestly the conversion rate depends directly on the traffic YOU bring. If it is junk traffic, expect .0001% conversion rate. If it is highly targeted traffic I sometimes get 5%-10% on PayPerSale offers like this.

The thing that might work well for you is create a blog that you send people to first. Have video reviews and written reviews of the product to warm them up - the "soft sell". Put links on that blog to the "hard sell" or the real CPA offer. This will greatly increase conversions as the people will have more faith in the product.

Thanks so much for the reply! I will definatly do that, I'm getting some very good quality articles written as we speak for free content and then I will probably pay for a review of the CPA offer and get a fivver gig and get someone to make a video! thanks!

Unfortunately you will never get a straight answer on this, the reason behind this is it will vary with every factor (how you are promoting, your website, your demographic, etc). Why not give it a test and find out

The other posters had a good point. The conversion rate will depend on the quality of the traffic that you send to the page. It will also depend on the presell on the page.

I've found that the best type of presell is one from the heart. If you've actually tried using the product yourself, people will appreciate your review more. When they like and trust you, conversions will go up.

Good luck.
