This section is not for advertising

I cannot believe a recruitment ad has been running as a thread here since February and no-one reported it.

A note to the network operators: This is not the place for your ads. Please stop, or I will take an active interest in this section of the forum. I assure you, the way things have been going in here, you probably don't want that.

      Not at all.

This section, like several others, has developed its own culture. I'm not looking to make everyone here behave in the same ways as the other sections. No-one is. CPA marketing is, by nature, more aggressive than many other forms. The discussions and style will reflect that.

I am primarily concerned with the direct advertising and recruiting that I've seen going on here. That should not be happening.

I've also considered adding the main word in the name of at least one of the networks to the dirty words file. The one I'm thinking of at the moment is the worst I've ever seen in terms of using shills and sock puppets, getting affiliates to promote within the group, etc.

Or maybe having it rewritten to send traffic to some random domain. That could be fun.

Generally speaking, I'm not trying to change this section. If I do start paying much attention here, though, the network operators will not be happy about my adjustments. I don't really care about that, as the forum isn't run for them. It's run for the benefit of the members.

      Up to you folks.

I would definitely agree this section of the forum is where we share our experiences about CPA marketing , not for advertising .

Thanks for the clarification. I suspect many people thought it was "ok" because it was so obvious, but now we know better.

It would be nice if more people also reported the many offers to buy and sell CPA and Adsense accounts. Not only is this against the rules of the WF, it's FRAUD. Some posts do get deleted, but many others slip by.

    Gail,

Offering to buy and/or sell anything in this section is not allowed. Especially accounts on various systems.

If they get reported, they'll be deleted. And possibly the sellers along with them.

Paul, just yesterday (or the day before) I reported a now deleted post quite similar to what you describe. Problem is the post was really old, like 3 months old. I believe people don't "understand" it's a advertising or some sort of it... and they simply don't report it.

But good to know moderation is awake into this section - as to all the others.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Better to keep this thread as sticky.

One more section where people offering services is Warrior Reciprocal Links - Buy - Sell - Swap! if you look closely lot of services are being offered other than link selling.

Excellent job Paul. It's far better if people actually contribute something rather then mega long threads filled with nothing of value anywhere.

I make no judgment on the value of the offerings to the people who accept them. That's not relevant to the issue of the impact of advertising in a discussion section.

Just wanted to make that point.

        Hi Paul,

Thank you for the note of warning.

Say I've been using awesome WSOs. I see good results from it.

Then I want to share, recommend and talk about it with a small regional community in this section.

At least hoping more discussions around the techniques.

Would that be tantamount to advertising?

Promoting the WSOs will probably not be allowed often. It's something people use as a defense for slipping promos in with their affiliate links.

Yes, I know. That sucks. It's just the reality of working in this market. Anything that can be abused for a buck usually will be, and often.
