I am spending anywhere from 400 - 600 a day at this point to pull in nearly 1k in revenue.

I learned everything I know from here, for free, testing is key. Test an offer spend through some dollars on a trusted source of traffic. If it converts even slightly you will have some data to move on to work out what makes this offer convert. Work out that, then scale it up. Test lots of offers on many different sources. If you have the bankroll to do quality testing then you will succeed it just takes time.

Yeah to do 1000/day is easy - just scale you winner. BUT the key is to FIND your winner. And thats hard

It's not THAT hard! Testing, testing, testing, then you'll surely come up with a winning FORMULA. Of course TESTING requires BIG money, BIG Time and BIG Patience.

The answer is no one will tell you or anyone else how to make $1,000 a day. It's all about trial and error. There is no magic formula. It is different for everyone no matter how much they make. Pick a niche master it then expand.

This is exactly true for using paid traffic, IMO. Other people will lie and say you can simply start with $10 and double it and keep scaling. No chance!

And SEO even requires a LOT more time and patience, by 100 times.

Yes it's possible, but you're going to need a large budget to do it, at least 2 to 5 times that amount being spent daily to pull in that profit.

Yeah sure this is possible, if you have any sense you knew this was possible before you even wrote this thread. What you were looking for was tactics, strategies and tips. But why would we give you this for free, after we have spent hours, days, weeks and months testing and tweaking campaigns, investing money some of us have and have not got in to something that may or may not work.

Online marketing is an easy game once you have found a winning solution, but finding that solution takes something not many of us have, time, patience and sometimes capital, that's why so little make it to $1,000 a day.

Now without sounding too negative, there are some lucky people out there who so happen to come across a winning solution within their first couple of attempts, those people I envy but more than this, I advise those people to reinvest wisely because it doesn't happen that easily all the time.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents.

Patience, trial and error, i got up to just 400-500 but that it. I'm starting a new plan for 1000.

Not to sound like a broken record, but it is exactly what everyone above is saying. PPC is the best and worst way to make money with CPA offers. It's the best in the sense that it can really be a huge money-maker if you find the right combination. But this relates to why it can be the worst. Finding the right combination takes a lot of patience as well as a very intuitive and strategic approach. You have to analyze every detail of who you're advertising to, what your ads look like, how they convert, when they convert, etc. The variables seem to be endless.

Tread lightly, start very small so you don't lose money too fast. It's almost like gambling, only you have a lot more control =). You're essentially playing with money until you hit the jackpot.

@xwgpx55: Yes, it does seem a bit like gambling :-) I guess the difference is you can win if you know what you are doing. I like your response.

I hit campaigns with $100/day to $200/day profit now and then. It would be curious to know how many campaigns people are actually running in between each big win ($1000+/day). I'm guessing a lot based on my experience. Probably why so many full time affiliates outsource, I guess: to find the "daimond in the haystack" quicker, lol. I could be wrong, but that's the feeling I get for how this game works. I would be curious to hear other people's point of view.

I haven't gone full blown into PPC yet, but its gotta be like anything else. the more people you reach will cost more money but if you have optimized your ends that only means you will make more money

Testing requires even more balls to keep spending $100's on stuff that isnt converting. All my friends that have passed that 1k a day platform do this. Im still working my way up to that level of nerve, but yes. You must be willing to lose a lot in the beginning. A $1k/day campaign isnt going to fall in your lap.

I have had 1000+ days, but is that consistent, no not really. Testing is key, but this is not 2007 anymore and the days of PPC to Direct Link or even landing pages are over. I use a combination of methods both paid and free. The ultimate goal of mine in the end is search engine optimization and list building.

You need to think outside of the box and actually build an online business.

@imback: Yeah, I was actually working on an online business when I realized I needed to get some background in marketing if I wanted to make it work. That's actually how I discovered "internet marketing", cpa, etc.

I've been promoting CPA on various traffic sources. Have learned a lot. I keep thinking maybe it's time to go back to building a business. Such a small fraction of the cpa campaigns bring in big money (which is why I said it's like gambling). That doesn't mean it can't work, it's just not very steady. It would be nice to build an actual asset.

I think I might start working on my business again as soon as I suck the remaining profit out of the campaign I'm working on right now.

I agree and more than ever in 2011 it is important to build an established website or business. It just makes sense and after all why promote someone elses things with PPC, CPV, Article Marketing and so on when you can promote your own and keep 100% of the profits.

and I am also doing CPA, do not want to sound like I am saying it is a waste of time.

I spend a fraction of what I make daily to pull a 1k profit. Trust me you don't need a huge budget to pull in 1k a day. Just a good campaign with a high ROI.

POF is a gold mine, you just have to find your niche, bidding on male 25 demographics isn't worth it in my opinion. Build for a small niche, rinse and repeat
