Im reasearching sites, sometimes AdPlanner has some data, Quancast has none and Compete can give you enough. Others - AdPlanner and Quancast gives nothing and Compete gives everything. Other times, All 3 of them show data - except every one of them shows different data. Who do you believe? |

I believe Quantcast because it is closer to my actual stats (but still 20% below)

I have been creating my campaigns based on what I said and I am happy with that. My advice is to test everything and pick the best. This is not a Math problem that you can solve it using just a specific method, this is internet marketing and the number of methods is equal to number of internet marketers! ~ Omid | |

Great explanation Omid! I don't ever base any FACTS around any of these tools. Sometimes, when it seems something should work one way, it does the exact opposite. Even if it makes sense that only males will convert on an offer, you should test females too. These tools are good guidelines, but don't ever count on them to always be 100% accurate. A real test is the only thing that will prove real results. Quote:

Hi, I agree with Chris. Here are the places I review before starting my campaigns. I'm not a very clever person, so I take more steps before making any firm decisions: Step 1. SpyFu - to get proven keywords Step 2. Put them in Google Keyword Tools Step 3. Check Google Insights for regional interest of each keyword Step 4. Analyze demographics to confirm things in ----> A. Alexa or ----> B. Quantcast ----> C. AdPlanner ( last ) |

Don't expect to get 100% accurate data from either of the sources you mentioned . But , comparatively I would prefer to choose Google Adplanner data and the best option is to cross check the results of all sources . |

Yes, exactly this. I would even cross-reference similar type sites as well. And then use Google Insights for Search and possibly even YouTube data to get more insight. |
