Hi guys, I know thats a bit of a crazy question but i saw a FB dating app for Thailand on EWA and i`ve been wondering about it ever since. You see i actually use to work in thailand and i know what a dating crazy / socal networking crazy bunch of guys Thais are they love FB. And also i can speak fairly good Thai too but i just wouldn`t fancy myself writing a catchy clicky ad in the Thai language its just not spoken likes ours (of course) but also the way the put sentences and words together its just not like the way we would. What do you guys think about writing ads targeting non English speaking countrys ? thanks Jim, |

well there's 2 ways of going about this... 1. Get it translated into Thai! 2. Use the language option in the fb platform to display the english ad to only english speaking from Thailand? Hope this helps |

I would definitely translate, but remember to split test...you might find that the English text and thai dating images would work better..or not. Just test, and test some more |

Whatever you do, don't use Babelfish. IMO, it is the most inaccurate translator I've used to this day.

Great advice Stephen. In many cases the things you think that absolutely WON'T work, end up working the best! |
