Default Tracking Facebook ads with tracking202

Hello All,

I am having this strange problem and I not sure where I am wrong.

So far I am just direct linking with Facebook and was doing fine. I decided to move to next step and felt I needed a tracking first.

The idea here is to learn tracking and also to cloak my ads. I decided to go with tracking202 Free hosted version as of now and tried with an email submit offer

I used this below url in Aff. url field under Tracking202/setup/aff campaigns- step 3 -

h.t.t.p:/traktum.com/?a=xxxxx&c=xxxxx&s1=

Then got this tracking link in step 7 as like something below

h.t.t.p:/redirect.tracking202.com/dl/xxxxxxxx?t202kw=

(Note- In both of the above URLS I left the field empty after the symbol '=' )

The tracking link works fine and it loads the offer page

Now i set up the ad campaign in facebook and submitted my ad for review.I viewed my ad under view profile and for some reason I am getting an email from facebook saying my ad is paused.

"Thanks for advertising with Facebook. Our system has detected an issue with the settings of one or more of your Facebook Ads, and the affected ads have been automatically paused as a result. It is possible that the landing page of an Ad has changed, an event has passed, or some other issue has occurred. You can view or make changes to your paused ad(s) in your Ad Manager. Please note you may receive a separate e-mail for each of your paused ads."

I checked all my links and everything was fine and every time I try to click my ad I get the same email.

I figure it should be subid or something that tracking202 puts it at the end and THAT creates a change in URL warning sign to Facebook system. Now after few hours I got my ad disapproved saying my ad url is changed.

Does this mean I cant use tracking link in facebook?

I will appreciate anyone who can help me sort out this issue.

Hey Thanks for getting back.

I tried like you said. I added TEST at the end of the tracking link which is like this - t202=TEST.

Saved again my fb campaign and viewed the ad and still getting the same email as paused.

Also I tried adding the same keyword to the OFFER link(as above) too which was like this - &s1=TEST

but still no luck. my ad getting paused automatically.

Any ideas?

I do believe that Tracking202 is banned from using directly with facebook?

If that's the case, get any old domain.
Create a php redirect and then send your ad to that php direct i.e DOMAIN.COM/REDIRECT.PHP

Here's the php redirect code to stick in the "REDIRECT.PHP"
PHP Code:
<?php

   header
'Location: http://TRACKING202LINKEHERE.COM/' ) ;

?>
Hope this helps

Exactly I thought the same. While I can redirect to another domain, I am wondering if anyone else had the same issue like mine. And I dont see such here in this forum or anywhere else.

I will look forward if any one can address below.

I can't believe they banned tracking202 from FB.

That's just not fair to newer affiliates.

It sucks. I spent some days trying to figure this out.

How about you? Do you use redirection for facebook to track ads?

I'd advise you to get self-hosted tracking if possible. Your data is precious, and a shared free tracking solution can only handle so much before performance becomes a factor as well (in addition to the other issues).

All it took was some dumb spammers using tracking202 to cause this.

I'm between projects at the moment :-)
