Just wondering which landing pages work better the professional looking ones or the simple/blog looking pages convert and get better click through rate? Please speak from experience, thanks.

It depends on what you are promoting and what your target audience is looking for. Try testing both landing page styles and keep track of conversions.

Depends on your market. Do you market to a professional crowd? Well there you go, create a stuffy uptight professional blog page.. If you crowd is kick back and looking for a fast fix, of just want information on a simple level then don't make it too busy.. I like the 2nd type
