Searches and clicks are two different things! Google's traffic estimator will only show based on few daily or monthly clicks as fixed by them! This could be possible that your keywords do not drive significant traffic to click ads but still the total volume of search is 30K a month! This means that people do search but they don't click on ads as much!

Google is probably the most accurate kw research tool their is. By default, the numbers it shows are for broad match, it you set your kw to exact match - then look at the exact match numbers on the Google kw tool.

The lower the volume, the lesser the accuracy. But still, it is the best tool out there to gauge search volume for free.
