I have a question about Cpa for my sites. In your experience, does banner or text ad convert more? I have found that banner ads do a little better. Thanks |

Some say call to action is better but based on my experience, big banners are great especially when there is no other thing on your landing page.

It all depends! I find that banners work out better because they draw more attention. But it all depends on who your viewers are.

Just for Adsense I realized that usually text ads work better than images. But it depends on your website. Probably writing a call to action seems better for CPA offers. However, I prefer the ad networks with images over the text ads! For exmaple I am more comfortable with POF, Facebook than than Adwords or 7searhc. My 2 cents! ~ Omid |

Watch out for adsense though because sometimes they like to take down their services without any reason because they violate the TOS.

If you do it the right way , banners are more effective as compared to text ads . But , this is true only if you can design very compelling banners . Animated banners also are more effective as compared to static banners .

I would think banners. But there is banner blindness so you have to test.. set up a split test, mix it up and look at your results.

It depends on your site and offers... List building and autoresponder series with ajax pops can be an interesting alternative sometimes as well.  W

Banners are surely Better than Text Ads. A Good Banner Always Catches The Attention Of the Visitors, While Text Ads Mostly Get Ignored.

Look at the banner here on the forum. Do they catch your attention? I know I clicked on a few of them and they are banners with text. Ugly as hell banners get good ctr as they look less like an advertisement. The banners here are great examples Imo

Banners work better if placed on the page full of text. If your page is overloaded with banners, then your texts will do better. From my experience, the best place to attract the eye is the middle of the page. |
