You can use prosper202 to track converting keywords.

You Won't Know Unless You Try!

Many PPC networks provide you ROI data, you can set your Cpanel and check the keywords, traffic, clicks, etc. together with Google Analytics.

If you need some help with tracking keywords, let me know. The Bevo Media Tracker is free and a bit more newbie friendly than Tracking202. I am a dedicated rep here to help with getting started!

Yeah, I need some help Troy.

When direct-linking to test ads, I enter in the affiliate link as shown.

example: http://networkblahblah.com/iejsjgh&subid=

But when I enter the BEVO tracking code into the ad URL area on the traffic platform, it does not track the sub-id properly. I simply want it to track like so: ad1, ad2, ad3, etc.

It displays the sub-ids as a larger set of numbers. I'm wondering how to get the ad1 variable passed if you don't have to append it to the end of the link?

Thanks

Jeff,
Are you on adwords? What traffic source are you on?

Hey Jeffery,

Go to the "Get Codes" page, select "Other"... Fill in the information needed. I am assuming you are direct linking. Here is an example of a direct link:

http://track.bevomedia.com/dc/RHBKTZ...ZWVQ/advarhere

You place your ad variation after the '/'. You can change the ad variation name on the fly (you dont need to keep creating new campaigns to edit the ad variation name).

The subIDs will automatically fill in the correct spot, as loing as you enter your affiliate URL correctly into bevo with the proper subID syntax.

Hope that answers your question. If not let me know what else you need!

Thanks Troy. That was not explained in the Direct-linking video at all, but makes complete sense.

Use Search term Querry report to see which keywords are working.

Use propser202 and it will depend on the ppc network on how you can do dynamic keyword insertion into the subid

I'm Living MY DREAM Thanks to AFF PLAYBOOK! You Can Too!

Another way to track is to add some very simple code to your landing pages. (Note you will need to do this with the Adwords Conversion tracking tool as well). By adding some basic code to your landing page and the destination URL in your ad you can track in real-time which keywords are converting. To the point of having the exact keyword / phrase that results in a sale / lead delivered with that sale or lead. In other words as each completed sale or lead arrives in your inbox you also get the keyword / phrase that resulted in that sale / lead. This will allow you to quickly spot a trend or a hot keyword and adjust your bid accordingly to bring in more clicks for that converting keyword.
