Well, what was your demographics? How did you track your campaign? How did you split test your campaign? What was you niche? Did you talk to your affiliate manager before taking a campaign. Did you use a lander or direct linking? Honestly, $50 in 5 minutes means you did not consider any of above! ~ Omid |

Hello, I have read many posts.and WSO in this forum.. I tried what Kenster said about starting with a wide demographic in order to see which one is that converts well...I'm trying to see this information on Facebook Ads as of right now..but is still not available. I contacted my affiliate manager and he recommended the campaign I used..which is for the weight loss niche.. I also used my domain and redirect to the affiliate url. Can you offer any advise of what should I do? |

Omid is completely correct in advising on the many different factors that need to be taken into consideration before starting any sort of campaign with paid traffic, believe it or not, every single little detail can affect whether your ads will run at a loss or a profit. From the image to the title and the text each needs to be systematically broken down and tested to find the most profitable combination. Demographics and knowing your target audience is KEY!.My advice would be to realistically look at who the offer will appeal to, use quantcast, type the advertisers site (offer you're promoting) in and look at the figures, young/old? male/female? etc Someone looking specifically for a weight loss offer wont be the same as someone looking to gain a 6 pac, although they are both fitness related they will be two very different types of people with different goals. This will give you a rough profile and guideline to the type of viewer that the offer will apeal to. Check out similar websites, competitors of the offer you're promoting, collate and use that information too, this will give you a much bigger picture of your target audience, by reading these sites and forums these viewers may visit you will also get a sense of how your demographic communicates, what they respond to, what inspires and motivates them etc All this is gold and will put you miles ahead of other affiliates who simply think that putting an advert on a site and throwing money at it will yield profitable results. Don't in any way feel down or upset, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. The great thing is you are already out there and taking risks, starting campaigns and pushing yourself, something most people will never have the balls to do, putting their own money on the line. Whilst you may have lost $50 you have learnt so much more. If you still want to follow the paid traffic route then take these factors into consideration, but if you are relatively new to IM and CPA it may be worth you investing some time into free methods and learning how the industry works, how to choose an offer, what makes a successful offer, how to drive traffic etc Once you've got the basic fundamentals down you can then take the money and experience you've gained and start to invest in paid traffic sources. Good luck |

Instead of trying paid traffic, go for free traffic. You will get better results

facebook ads is too costly, there CTR is always very very low less than 1% because facebook user concentrate on chatting, wall post, messages etc. they hardly seen ads which show there right side screen. i suggest you go to adword and use landing page. |

Try simple one first I would say. Something like leads or email submit or apps install. Things that do not require facebook users to buy. To be honest, you got your ads approve which is a good thing. 57 clicks and no conversions if there's a need of credit card submit which is normal indeed. 57 clicks and no conversions on an email submit or app install then you need more work on your campaign. yesterday i just blew $50 as well but with a few conversions so I'll twweak from there and improve more. Frustrated of losing money? You are not alone. |

You can invest this amount on stubble upon you can make good money. Lets say you invested $50. Bugeted 0.05 per click 1000 visitors per day.... So for example, if 150 people out of 1000 completed out $1.40 offer then that is $210 (which means you have easily made profit from your initial investment). Go to this site and download free ebooks on how to make good money from CPA using STUMBLE UPON TRAFFIC. |

There could be lots of reasons why your campaign failed ... 1. I think you have started with a very wide audience range ( may be untargeted audience ) 2. May be you didn't match your audience needs with your offer 3. May be you have used an ad which doesn't match with your offers |

If you are using direct linking then I should say that AdWords doesn't like CPA offers! Probably you need to set up a squeeze page and do presell! Note that paid offers are not good for Facbook! People on Facebook are not in buying mood! Mostly Facebook Apps and dating offers work for facebook! Last but not least, do not think about losing money, you are currently learning! ~ Omid |

Are you forcing visitors to subscribe to your opt in list? I visited your site, and couldn't get rid of the opt in form. I did not go ahead then. Not sure if I missed the "X" mark but that sure was a turn off. |

| It depends on the category which you chose...Even Without having a website you can use a blog site with a funny video related to what you promoting and watch it blow off. The ebook explains more about it and i have raked some cash with this technique.

the key to success is failing first so that you find out what does not work, gathering data, test a bunch of campaigns until you find one that works and use a budget on each one. I would reccomend starting with a lower paying offer like an email/zip or one page offer and start a campaign on 7search.com & leadimpact.com. 7search are much cheaper and easier to get started than adwords and leadimpact is a ppv network that requires a $200 deposit to get started and is much easier and cheaper than adwords also. | |
