Default Looking For A Newbie CPA Mentor or Guide

I am new to the CPA world and trying to figure out where to get started. I have done some reading here on the forum and have found a lot of great information. I have submitted my application to Peerfly and waiting to here back from them. My questions are, whats next lol.

Im looking for a guide or a person who is good at CPA who is willing to help or even some Warrior members who can help me out. Some of my big questions are, how do you generate traffic to your landing page? How do you design and layout your landing page (any examples of a real page would be great) What other important elements go into starting with CPA.

All tips and help will be greatly appreciated.

I'd buy a great WSO that goes through all the details of promoting CPA offers. Probably you need to start with free methods since they are newbie friendly and then reinvest your money into paid methods. I think Kenster's rags 2 riches could be very helpful.

Congrats on applying to Peerfly, you've made the first step into CPA which is awesome. Don't just stop there though, you want to be with a number of networks so you have a great choice of offers, payouts and creatives available to you.

There are many different methods on driving traffic to your landing page, as someone just starting out I would advise you to stick to free methods initially as they will help you learn the industry, understand how to promote offers and write compelling copy to get your viewers to convert. It will give you a solid grounding in the fundamentals of the CPA and a foundation from which you can then go and invest money and scale your campaigns further.

Some of the more popular methods of free traffic are

Youtube video marketing
forum marketing
article marketing
offline marketing
facebook
twitter etc.

Now with paid methods you can generate huge amounts of traffic to your page/offer in a very short amount of time. This sounds great but the learning curve is extremely steep, without a comprehensive knowledge of CPA, your target market and killer copy then it paid methods can clean out your pockets before you've eben got started.

Also most paid campaigns will generally run at a loss before turning into a profit, therefore you need to have deep pockets to sustain your campaigns through the initial learning period until you find a formula that works for you.

So apply to more networks start throwing some campaigns out using free methods and keep reading these forums, asking questions and continue learning.

Good luck.

I agree with Jason, definitely try to get approved to a few more networks. Look up the top networks per the traffic and niche you are promoting to.

Here is an almost cash free idea for you to try:
You can link up a forum sig to a squeeze page. For example, you can go to a dog forum and link your sig to dog food review page. At the bottom of it put your CPA offer, you should be able to make some sales that way. HostGator will run about $10/month, with a coupon you might be able to the first month free.

CPA isn't for lazy people. If you're not willing to put hours upon hours a week into it, quit while you're ahead.

This industry has a bad reputation of being a "get rich quick" outlet. That is most definitely not the case. Don't be fooled by the WSO's telling you that you can make $xx,xxx in a month. It's BULL. You need to work your tail off to get to that point.

Grab a tried and true WSO (such as Kenster's Rags 2 Riches WSO) and move on from there. Don't buy any other products until you have completely and honestly used Kenster's guide from start to finish. Only then can you start looking into other products. If you get into a product buying mode, you will never stop, in turn making you lose all your money you could be investing into making your business profitable.

Good luck!

This is a GREAT starter idea for a newbie.

I think you can also get a 1 cent trial for the first month of HostGator.

All landing pages are different. You can have a review style landing page, blog style or news article style. Just got to pick which type you want to work with. I'm sure you can find examples online.

This is very true. Your websites/lp's will also vary due to the traffic source you use. For instance, with social or PPV you only need to use a "quick and easy" single page lander. For Adwords or MSN search you need to build a blog with SEO in mind with lots of content.

I absolutely agree. Start off with free traffic sources build up a small income stream and use it to fund bigger projects or sources such as PPC and Media Buys.

And yes Kenster's guide is very helpful, it's a very well thought out product.

The free methods in my opinion are...

Article Marketing
Video Marketing
and Forum Marketing.

If done correctly you can turn this into a six figure business alone and I am not talking about getting lucky once with a viral video. It can actually be done. Hard work and persistence is key with any free methods.
