Hi everyone. I'm a newbie, I admit it, so I thank you in advance for your opinions and advice. I recently bought a womens' health site. Nice market. So far it has a few google adsense ads on it that have given us NOTHING in the last year. I have hundreds and hundreds of pages of content and new content going in daily. I've owned the site for all of 4 months and am now looking at making it work. My current stats, averaged since January are: Avg monthly page views - 1, 120,000 Avg monthly visitors - 53,000 I'm thinking of putting in some CPM ads. I'd honestly like to make some money off my site. I do have room (or will shortly) for a 3-4 ads on each page. Do you reallly think that with these numbers I could make a decent income monthly on my site? I've heard CPM rates can go from $0.50 to $4.00 for sites with good numbers and popular topics. I'm about to contact some ad agencies to see what I can get. But in YOUR opinion, what do you think? Have you heard of people making a few grand a month on CPM ads? A friend of mine said "Do you realize if you have a $3.00CPM total and you have 1,000,000 page views a month you can make $3000/month?" While that sounds too good to be true....I just can't wrap my head around that. Is that even possible? Thanks so much for your help, gang. I really appreciate it. Samantha |

$3,000 a month with those kinds of stats is nothing. And why CPM? You're better using Adsense again. When you had Adsense, was it even similar to the content on the site or just random stuff? Your EPC depends on the Ads and the niche of the site. Do you have an email I can contact you at? I can help you.

Honestly? So you're saying it IS possible? I think I'm just paranoid. I read the stats, do the calculations and I think "Seriously?" Frankly, I don't think the previous owner paid any attention to the adwords or anything. I think she put the ad up and just let it roll. In fact, I just took another look at it as I type this response to you and I do see the ads aren't related at all. I had assumed that they were just useless. I've heard a couple of people say adsense is better than cpa and cpm, and others say no, it's the other way around. |

Hi nick... Gosh, you're quickly turning into my hero with all this optimism! ![]() The site doesn't have a forum. It's got articles and people can comment on the articles in a forum - but to date they haven't. Mainly because she made the registration SO hard. That's another thing I'm taking care of changing. There are some affiliate ads from linkshare sitting on there and I laughed when I got a check for $7.00 from linkshare the other day. Again, I think she picked affiliates she liked, not ones that really jived with the traffic she was/is getting. So basically it is... - a women's site with topics from health to food to abuse - articles only - a dead forum (being worked on) - an impossible registration (being worked on) - a lot of traffic- The site has been around since 2007 - a lot of page views - adsense (just a block of 3 ads) on the front page - adsense that does rotate on inner pages, but not always relevant I have about 400 email addresses from those that did manage to register. I plan to do some incentives, etc, on the site to get people to register more. You're so darned helpful! Thank you! FINALLY someone who is answering that darned "Is revenue possible" question that's been in my head. ![]() Samantha |

You could use CPA and content lockers to turn a big profit. However the content of your specific pages would have to be something people are really interested to see and worth the 30 sum seconds to try a survey. I'd recommend throwing this up on a few pages and see if it works for you. The best part is you can have adsense and content lockers up at the same time! If you'd like please pm me and I can get you started!

| That is not true at all, considering I stated that if the quality of SOME pages is worthy it might be a possibility to be used, as well with adsense to not diminish any earnings. Content lockers can be used from anything from Forum Membership Upgrades to Ebook downloads, you name it and people are having great success with it! I would never recommend to have it in a place that can hurt traffic like a first page, but there are many places where this is totally appropriate and would bring a great return.
