Media buys can work great with CPA offers. I would really recommend checking any site's Alexa stats before you plan on advertising with them.

You can really run nearly any type of offer category from Financial offers to Facebook/Game downloads. It's all about finding the right websites to advertise on.

What is the exact advantages of checking site's Alexa stats ? I am starter in media buying, so thanks for any advice.

Media buys is all about extreme testing and knowing your demographic very well! There is no way to really answer your questions because it will vary based on different factors

You can get almost all details about the site from Alexa stats.
We can get to know the demographics of particular site using this stats.

Media Buys can be crazy lucrative, but testing is huge. Sometimes and in most cases harder than PPC.

Just took a course on media buying, turns out you CAN direct link to media buys for cpa offers and a lot of you were right it does depend on the website you advertise to and the offer but from what I hear about using cpa offers for media buys is that its no good because a lot of the cpa networks that you get the offer from scrub the crap out of the list meaning you don't get paid for everyone's action.

So I hear to stick with affiliate offers, send them to your landing page if you want, to grab leads, then try and convert them by sending them to the offer. Work with small numbers when testing then scale up with websites of similar demographics that were working.

If you select the right CPA offers which is suitable to your target audience , then it would be easy to make money with media buying .

Make also sure to analyze and know your target audience properly .

You should also know how you need to pay every time you promote your product with media buys .

Thanks,
Mike

I do a ton of direct linking, so it works. For me. I don't recommend it though. There is an artform to selecting the right offers and LPs can make anything work.

You can definitely direct link, but having the ability to pre-sell the visitor makes it easier to convert, obviously. As already stated - make sure you know your demographics well. Use Quantcast and AdPlanner to get a good understanding of the demo. Also, make sure you speak to your AM. They'll know what's running good on Media Buys and will be able to give you some great tips.

As far as CPA Networks scrubbing...sure, this happens but it's not as bad as you make it sound, nor does it happen at all networks. It's always best to split test networks if you can.

Make sure you have tracking setup and start out at Self Serve networks like SiteScout.

cash37 or whoever might know, do you recommend affiliate offers or cpa offers and yah im doing a lot of research on quantcast and alexa trying to match up demographics and split testing banners and text banners before I take off with a campaign..

but which offers usually work best if direct linking, and which type of offers work best just in general off experience, affiliate offers or cpa offers when media buying?

thanks,
Mike

Yes Direct linking like the above posting said is an art form that takes time and dedication. Once you get it right it can be crazy profitable though.

You can direct link anything, just depends on how you presold the click and what the advertisers LP looks like. The only time Ill make a LP is if the advertisers page sucks so badly that the person doesnt know what to do once theyre there.

Yes you can direct link. However, I always split test a landing page vs direct link to see what works better in my media buys.

ok I made my landing page, and now I am going to split test banners, does anyone prefer cpc or cpm, there are so many adnetworks i dont know what networks to use for which offers, is there one that is just good.

And about the direct linking to cpa offers, are there any networks that don't scrub their lists too much.

Thanks,
Mike
