I deposited $200 to LeadImpact yesterday and created an campaign. I set my daily budget to $10 and the status is "Active". However, it doesn't get any impression, anyone know why? I heard it takes them 1-3 days to approve a campaign, but since the status of my campaign is "Active", I'm assuming it is already approve, isn't it?

I'm in the same boat, waiting for approval on a campaign - and this is my first time too, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not just the campaign that must be active but the keywords. If you click on the campaign and then click on the name of the landing page so it shows you the keywords/urls you bid on, it will tell you if each keyword has been approved or not. |

You don't have any keywords or URLs? That is the problem then. If you don't give them any urls or keywords they won't know when to show your ad - and you certainly wouldn't want them just showing it randomly to everyone (well, I guess there's probably a place for that too, but this isn't it). You need to do a little research here and decide what your target audience is and what types of websites they are likely to be looking at. You can then ask for your ad to be shown either on websites that have to do with a keyword you choose or on a specific website. |

Unfortunately, LeadImpact is extremely slow in approving campaigns. They're probably the worst, especially for new accounts.

I put some keywords in last night and got a disapprove email today. "- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding affiliation with listed merchants or brands and be above the fold." Why would they care about how my page look like? I mean if I put that information in, people may not fill out the offers. |

Is there any other PPV network that doesn't require disclaimer?

I suggest you try Direct CPV, they dont seem to be demanding for any disclaimer and the deposit to sign up is only 100 bucks. On top of that, they credit your account with 30 bucks if you use a coupon code to sign up. |

thanks. I will try that after I use up my $200. Are the PPV traffic any good? I got approved and seem to get a lot visitors, but no conversion yet, and the bounce rate is like 90%.

| Lead Impact converts extremely well. You will need to stomach the fact that their system takes an extra 20% from your funds, enjoy. Take the good with the bad and make some money!

They take ages to approve a campaign. Very frustrating.

I love Lead Impact and have had and continue to have excellent results with them. I ran the same campaign with Direct CPV and got lots of hits but only got one stinking lead. It's crazy as it is the same campaign. If I wouldn't have tried Lead Impact, I might have given up on the campaign entirely. I'm so grateful that I did not. |

Susanna, have you tried TrafficVance? I've heard their traffic is the highest quality out of the CPV networks. Maybe you can take your campaign there and ramp up |

I've had best results with leadimpact vs other ppv networks. Their traffic seems to be much better quality (for ppv anyway). They are a bit stricter with the disclaimers and stuff but its worth it. Most people don't bother reading disclaimers anyway so its not really a big deal to put a paragraph of small text at the bottom of the page (most affiliate offers have these anyway so just copy the one they have on the offer page to your own landing page). Their review time seems to get better once you're account is a bit older, my campaigns normally get approved the next day now. |

What kind of offers do you promote. Do you use your own landing pages or direct linking? I have been with them for a week, and very few conversion. Also, if you use your own landing page, what's size (width & height) of the html do you use?

Free offers work best, something the demographic of the website you're targeting would actually want (so do your demographic research using quantcast, alexa etc first!). Offers that require a credit card can sometimes work, but it's a lot harder to convert. Remember you're interrupting their viewing so you have to grab their attention fast and be as appealing as possible with a really strong call to action. Anything that will take time or effort for them is less likely to work. However sometimes you can make rebills work if you target rival products and say "wait before you buy xyz, you can get a free trial of blablabla here". Grabbing their email address in exchange for something free is a good tactic so you can promote other things to them by email. Also you can promote zip/address submits this way, first capture their email on your page and then redirect them to zip/address submit after with pre-populated email field (ask your affiliate manager for offers that allow pre-pop). Always use landing pages, most of the time the cpa offer pages don't even fit inside 800x600 window (most seem to be created for 1024x768 resolution and higher) so you need to make your own pages. Also you can make your landing page use similar colours and themes to the website you're targeting so it looks almost official (but be careful don't copy them exactly you will get into trouble). I usually make my page 750x550 to make sure everything fits inside nicely. I have also had good results with making really ugly landing pages that stick out and shock the visitor, you can usually get away with using those ridiculous before/after pictures on ppv... Hmm this turned out to be a longer post than I thought it would. But in summary:

Thanks for the detailed explanation, I really appreciate it. Is there a way for us to view how our landing page would popup? Is there any differences if I center my landing page or put them on the left side of the html?

You really need to add teh disclaimer if they ask for it. Most reason for denial are easy to fix. Give them what they ask for and you will soon be on your way to making profit. CHAD |

| I normally just open my page in firefox and use a plugin called "firesizer" to make the window exactly 800x600. This gives you a rough idea of how it will look inside the popup. I like to center them just because im a bit OCD about stuff like that, but it doesn't really matter too much as long as the page looks ok in the popup and everything fits. |

Do you use PPV to build your own email list? I tried to get people to signup for my email list to promote my free ebook, but unfortunately got only a few signups, still testing . Also, do you use any url scrape to get the url or do it manually?

I get urls manually because I need to know the demographics and you can't really get that with scraping 100s of urls unless you spend hours going through them all. Also I much prefer to have 10-20 high traffic urls than 500 low traffic ones. Much easier to get reliable data to track and optimize this way and then just expand into more urls once you know what works. | |
