Default Testing and reaction time for PPC

Just curious how long some of you veterans of Internet marketing keep your eyes on a PPC ad campaign before you make adjustments. Obviously, if the campaign is going well, you'll probably just sit back a bit and keep watching it. But when the clicks are going up but the conversions are really low, how long before you pause the campaign, analyze it and make adjustments? An hour? Two hours? A full day? Thanks in advance

I would make decisions based on various factors. Hopefully, you have different ads running, different landing pages, and enough data to make your decision.
