when searching keywords on google keyword tool, is it better to have the word with high competition or low? Thanks |

low comp= easier to rank for. high comp= potentially harder to rank for. higher comp could be worth it in the end though. overall, it depends on the niche and what your goal is. |

It depends on your goal. Want to rank high and quickly go for the low comp. Want to get a lot of traffic willing to work and not in a hurry? high comp

You can start with low competition keywords, then move it up a notch to higher comp keywords with the potential for more traffic. Just keep your keywords relevant so you get the traffic you want.

Start off with low competition and as your site becomes established and is receiving regular amounts of traffic you can start targeting higher competition keywords.
