How to gain popularity in a community?

I have been in this community for a while and now I have started to thinking about how can I improve my popularity here. I am not used to playing around communities, so any advice will be appreciated.

Popularity as what? How much experience do you have with Internet Marketing? The best way to gain popularity would be to provide very valuable information posts if people asks questions and making valuable threads to help people learn. What can you offer the community?

Use your skills to share the knowledge. Solve people problems, provide good information. That's it!

Yeah like everyone said, basically you just have to share a lot of good information and helpful tips with people.

Tell people things they have never thought about before and they will love you for it.

Show them how to do something better or easier or cheaper and they will love you for that as well.

Be a comedian and people will laugh at you, but it really depends what kind of community you are getting into. Just give the community what it's looking for and you will do well.

The real secret to gaining any sort of popularity, prestige or status within any community is all down to one thing VALUE.

Be a giver of VALUE, provide information, insights and opinions that will genuinely help people. To be seen as an authority you need to stop thinking how to become popular or rich or respected, you have to put all that aside and genuinely want to help people. Then you will acquire the status and prestige you desire.
