If you could only use 1 traffic source in promoting offers, what would it be AND why?

That will tend to vary depending upon the product/service. Personally I prefer the free kind via search.

I will have to agree with Burton. Facebook all the way.

I managed to get campaigns where I can get TARGETED traffic to my sites for under $0.02... so it can't get much cheaper than that! (specially when i would be paying $1 + with adwords)

There is no better quality than organic ( free ) SEO traffic from Google. The reason being is because people have grown to trust the natural results, and Google is the #1 used search engine PERIOD.

If I were to choose one source, it would be SEO, since I think I am good at it

But choosing only one source and relying on it is why most websites go down and out.

Very true. And you'll learn your lesson everytime you put all your eggs in 1 basket, FREE or not. Because FREE traffic costs a lot of time.

HAHA yea. A lot of people actually sell SEO courses saying that the traffic is free. What they do not tell you is that it is going to take you 3 months to get that free traffic

I will say SEO but if you just don't have the time to wait or don't know how to play the SEO Game for CPA I have found that PPV traffic is good but again you need to find a good URL target list on your niche and use a reputable PPV network like Traffic Vance

I use free and paid traffic but if I would use only 1 traffic source it would be Free Traffic from organic search and social networks.
Reasons: Laser Targeted (in my experience from Google searches), Huge Profit margins since its free traffic

Personally I would go with PPV traffic,

It allows me to put together campaigns very quickly and test out numerous ideas and scale the ones that work. I wouldn't have that luxury with SEO, I haven't got 3 months to see if a niche or offer is going to be worth investing all that time into.

Also With PPV traffic I can put campaigns together to take advantage of hot trends, by the time your site is ranking high enough in google the opportunity to capitalise is gone.

If they didn't have such a stick up their a$$, then Google Adwords hands down, for me anyway. I've done well with many other sources, but I'm impatient, so the speed of Adwords along with their suite of tools plus traffic quality is badass for me. Probably Google Display Network.

Again, this is in the fantasy world where they aren't a "higher than mighty" traffic source.

I have had very good success with Google using their PPV on their display network. I get overall $.15 per click or less.

Don't get me wrong guys, I still run on Google, but it's not typical CPA stuff like most do. It's usually host and post or private deals, so as far as Google knows, I'm the merchant/ad agency... not an affiliate.

So I guess it's not really a fantasy world, you just need to promote different things

tehering.... yes, I'd say 90% of my google traffic is content network, and 90% of that is image ads. Usually start with 3000-5000 keywords, chop down to what ends up being 1 or 2 profitable ad groups (about 20 keywords total).... I then take those 20 keywords and setup a Search only campaign with each keyword in it's own adgroup, which brings me down to about 2-5 keywords that are actually generating the most money.

My first highly successful campaign did 6 figures in 3 months off of maybe 2-3 keywords after everything was optimized.

I would say media buying, because its quick and allot of the times you can get good bargains from webmasters that doesn't always know the worth of their traffic.
