Why do you think Google's own tutorials aren't that good? There's a lot that they already have. You could perhaps do Google certification... That's what any "trained adwords manager" does anyways....

Perry Marshalls Adwords Book. I been doing adwords since 2003 and needed help getting my head round all the latest developments. This was by far the best value for money course I have seen.

There is a book called Advance google Techniques. and lot of practice.btw don't try to trick google they will suspend your account no time.

Google Adwords tutorials does a wonderful job in showing you things you need to know to keep from being banned; so start there.
