Google just did a big slap against these type products and promotions.

I believe they hit the contextual ads.

Lots of complaints from consumers about getting rebilled and having
trouble cancelling recurring charges on credit cards.

Seems I read this somewhere.

i have had Acai offers in my network for a long time - we have one of the highest priced acai offers out the! It's been good to us. However, like every fad it will fade, if the fad does not fade the nature of the marketing tactics used to promote this will kill it, not to mention google and fed crack down. But for now it is still around and doing well, and the smart networks are making sure they are working with the legit acai advertisers not the shady ones, as well as keeping an eye out for the next big thing.

I'm not signed up as an affiliate yet, but when I was in Brazil this past December I had Acaí pretty much every day. It tastes absolutely amazing, and I definitely had a ton of energy. Though maybe traveling and not having to do any work at all had something to do with it ;-). As for weight loss, I'm not really sure, but in terms of mental health and sheer taste I loved it. I really hope some smart businesspeople open an Acaí franchise around here (they serve it with fruit, almost sherbet consistency, absolutely delicious).

Technically HarveyJ is right. Morally, what is going on is completely wrong. How do you offer someone a free 7-day trial and tell them that if they don't cancel within the 7 days that they will be charged $60 to $120 for the bottles they don't even know if they want because your 7-day trial hasn't arrived yet. It's wrong and the greed will cause some law to eventually change and make it harder on legitimate companies that are truly trying to help people. Who cares if they're making alot of money, you reap what you sow and Karma can be a bitch! It will come back to them, affiliates and all. Run you business right, truly try to help people and you'll be richer in the long run.

I could never be an affiliate where the fine print is so small that you have no idea that you will be charged $90 every month if you don't cancel after 15 days. Acai berry has some great health benefits but it's been taken too far extreme as a TRUE weight loss product. I've seen many picture ads on fake blogs that are taken from real weight loss stories from good old fashioned nutrition and exercise. I'd rather make my money from fitness products that I've tried and works..but that's me..some people don't care how they make their buck..Here is a great teleseminar on The Real Truth about the Acai Berry Fad
