Would an example of this be when you tell one of your friends to help you sign up on your affiliate link? Please list all the possible methods of fraud where it can get your account banned.

There are countless ways to send fraudulent leads and I do not think it is a good idea to list them out. Whilst the majority of visitors to this forum would not even contemplate sending fraudulent leads, the apparent ease of comissions for newbies and those struggling and demotivated could be too alluring. Anyone who wants to send fraudulent leads can and will find ways to do it, it may be profitable in the short term but they will eventually be caught, this could not only lead to your CPA account being banned but loss of commissions and legal procedures can follow. There's a reason why underhand methods are forbidden on these forums and I don't believe it's a good idea to advertise their methods here. |

Generally for you to get paid from an affiliate link they will have to do something in return (Do a survey, pay for a product etc) so if this is the case, then no as both parties are then making money. But i guess as your asking that your when your friend uses your affiliate link, it does not benefit the other party aswell as you... Then yes, that would be fraudulent and immoral if anything. |

I always thought as long as an ip address other than your own signs up on your affiliate link, that would be good enough. I would like to know how the cpa network will eventually find out. I'm sure they have their methods cause we probably cannot outsmart these guys.

Yes it would. Think of it like this: You agree with a business to send them leads, and in return they would pay you. Then say you had 100 people lined that you knew who you asked to fill out their form for you. You and them both know they were never going to purchase the businesses product or service, but they just did it to help you get paid. Or maybe they even shared the profits with you? THAT is fraud, and I'm sure you can now think of many other ways that this could be performed on a much higher level. There are other ways too: 1. Pretending you are a hot chick and fooling guys into signing up for a dating offer 2. Pretending you are a job scout and making people fill out offers in order to get a job they will never get Please don't get any ideas, but I think you can get the point. This is all illegal, and eventually you will get banned if you do it long enough. |

Ok, let me break down what i really want to find out. At this point, i know that telling your own friends to sign up on your affiliate link is considered fraud and can get you banned. But what if you find a random person online to sign up through your link? Would that be allowed?

They will find out when you send hundreds of leads and the traffic never backs out. These companies usually know their back-end conversion rates, and they are not in it to lose money. Quote:

Well, I'm sure you could get away with it a few times. But in the long run, if you keep doing it ( and know in your mind they aren't interested ), then you will lose out. There is nothing wrong with recommending offers, etc. as long as you know the person may be interested. Fraud is fraud, just like in everyday life. ![]() Quote:

And i believe if someone isn't sure if what they're doing is fraud, it's probably fraud. Basically, if you don't advertise it in anyway, you're most likely committing fraud
