Default Capture phone information, what to do with?

Hello,

I was wondering if I start capturing phone numbers along with email and zip information from a prospect, what could I do with the information?

I heard about call center and sms marketing but I really dont know how could I do this...

If anyone has any knowledge about this I'd be gladly thankful.

Making a big collection of this information you can not only sale it but also serve your clients for marketing their products to this collection of emails and phones. If you have you own business and wana promote your websites, you can use this list of prospects yourselves.

Whatever you do, just make sure you comply with both your local laws and the laws of the jurisdiction of the people you are collecting data from (cover your rear!!)

Is there any reason why you're contemplating capturing the phone number??

I believe this would probably decrease conversions for you, simply because people can delete or ignore an email but a phonecall is far more personal and an interrupt in their everyday lives.

As you've stated even if you did capture the number you aren't sure on how you would follow up so I think it would be best for you to stick with name and email.

if you do decide to capture the phone number then there are a few options, as rtailor mentioned you can sell the list to companies, if you're in lead gen for insurance, health, timeshare etc. then companies can pay good money for solid leads.

If you want to follow up yourself and look to pitch them down the phone then you will need to have a solid background in telesales, if not then you'll be surprised how many numbers you burn through in a day merely trying to engage the customer.

I would suggest not trying to pitch them yourself, or even outsource the work unless you are accumulating hundreds and hundreds of leads a day.
