Hi I have never joined an affiliate network before but I have a friend who owns a construction company, he has a website with landing page for interested people to sign up. He does almost no marketing. I'm wondering is it possible to get marketers to push leads to his landing page? The only valuable traffic would be about a 15 mile radius from where he is located. Is this possible for an affiliate to do this or do they go elsewhere for national and global campaigns? What if he paid 25-50 bucks per person who fills out the "contact me" form? Any thought or strategies would be appreciated I would prefer this over ppc or seo right now.

Hello warriorforum101, Yes its extreemly possible to do that. Many affiliates would even target persons after their phone nrs or zip cods and their jobs. Your friend can apply as an advertiser for some CPA companies like PeerFly, Maxbounty, etc.. and let the affiliates take care of getting the leads. |

How would affiliates target potential customers by their zip code and phone numbers? Email campaigns? Is that even affective? Again he would only want to pay if a lead is generated not based of traffic or click throughs....

If he only require to grab an email or phone nr to be able to contact the visitors later, that woul be a lead generation. If he require that the visitor place an order for example: The visitor must order X ton of cement that would be sale. | |

Sorry, no he would only require contact info so it would be a lead not a sale which I'm assuming you are going to tell me is very possible.

Great and yes I can see why they can offer so much the CPA cost per aquisition can be high for companies like that considering how much $ some of the construction jobs can be so it is good for the affiliates. You have been very helpful thank you.

Your friend could also have his website optimized for local keywords using SEO, and grab leads for himself. This would be much more economical for him in the long run. You could also do the work of getting backlinks, on-site SEO, etc. and charge him monthly for your services. |

I wot argue with you guys because you are experienced. I have tried seo but no One can ever deliver what they promise so I gave uP, it's not my site after all. I liked the idea of affiliates, it's under the radar almost not traceable by competitors and it's almost the rabbit out of the hat trick by the time people realized how your doing it it's too late. The problem I saw with ppc was the site was not optimized enough on site and it never would show for the keywords. To be honest the idea of paying for leads is nicer rather than throwing traffic to the site but I guess if it doesn't convert for me it won't convert for an affiliate.

I'm sorry but could you please explain more about this? I'm a little confused also about what you're trying to accomplish. Do you want to get affiliates to drive leads for your buddy, and then you take a percentage? What do you mean by "no one can ever deliver what they promise?" If you can drive leads through PPC or SEO and agree with him to pay you, then you could easily drive the leads yourself without having to depend on anyone. Not to mention that it's much better experience to actually accomplish these things yourself first. If you can't generate leads yourself, why would anyone else want to do it for you? I guess if the PPL was enticing enough, and you could make a decent percentage it could work. |

| imho, for local biz like construction projects, SEO is no doubt the most powerful way of marketing. You should just look for a professional SEOer or outsourcing company to do this for you.
