I've been reading up here on WarriorForum of course and have learned a lot in the past few days. I was reading this one specific thread about PPV traffic and people were talking about using softwares to see which PPV keywords or URL's were converting best and which ones were not... now, is this really necessary? Because I'm planning to work with MediaTraffic and they offer ROI tracking, so would I really need a separate software to do this?

I don't work with PPV, but when running PPC or media buying campaigns I almost always (should be always, but sometimes I'm lazy ) use tracking. However, it's not necessarily a separate software. Prosper202 is good, but lately I've been using more subIDs and custom PHP scripts. You can use anything you want, but, IMO, it's important that you track your campaigns and know your data. For me, all the campaigns start with a negative ROI and just after optimizing I can get profitable, and I don't know how I would optimize my campaigns without tracking. WP.S.: I know that some affiliates almost don't use tracking, but I find it difficult to work with paid traffic without knowing my numbers very well. |
