Site makes 40,000 to 50,000 hits a day and 300 clicks

Right now my site makes around 300 clicks a day and 40,000 to 50,000 hits on average, with room to as high as 100,000 hits.

I am with adbrite and the CPM on it is like $20 a day.

Is this the best I can get with how much the site makes? It is also included in Google News.

What are my other options to get the most from my views in CPM advertising. Cannot get into Tribal Fusion at the time but need to know what are my options or is adsense and adbright the best option? I also am with technorati media and advertising.com ... Any others that give HIGHER CPM?

Split test CPA offers related to your visitors demographics. You should be making way more than that in my opinion.

With Adbrite this is what I have on my dashboard for one of their ads for just today, (5 hours left in the day)

Type - Banner and Text
Impressions - 42,000
Clicks - 170
CPM $0.38

That the best I can do ? Thanks again.

Seems like most of your visitors would be people preparing for a natural disaster. I just got hit by Irene this past week, I didn't loose power but alot of people around me did!

I actually ran a campaign targeting the same demographics and i got some pretty good results

You can certainly be making alot more than that, you just need to try some cpa offers.

Banner networks with cpm isn't enough profitable, it's hard to find any. Maybe you should try popups or some flat free networks. Also if Adbrite isn't profitable maybe it's time to try Adsense.

During hurricane season you should replace the back to school ads with ads for uninteruptable power supplies or generators.
also promote watherstations for hobbyists. by using amazon you could easily sell other stuff they are interested in, too.

I have a survival site and don't get nearly that many visitors - in fact I only had 47000 hits for the whole month of August. BUT I had over a 1000 clicks with a .46 CPC so if I could get that many on ONE day I would be a happy camper!
