Hey guys!

I know alot of people liked my other thread where I showed how I got to my first 100ish dollars a day with PPC and Affiliate offers so I decided to start up this thread where I will be writing down the details of everything I am doing in regards to CPA, CPM and all that good shat.

I have a pretty extensive knowledge when it comes to driving traffic and SEO, however CPA/PPC is totally new to me ( I believe I got lucky with my first campaign)

So this is more a journal about what I am learning and not what I know

Anyhoo, I will be recording everything that I am doing (the good and the bad) in hope that this will be a GREAT learning tool for guys on this board.

Lil bit bout me
My name is Becker. I currently make a comfortable full time income through SEO and my two biggest blogs ( Collegeflirt.net and the linkback.com) I also create my own products for my sites (usually ebooks) and welll...sell them =P.

On top of that I also generate an income as a dating and internet marketing coach ( I get off telling people what to do... )

Anyhoo, I am bran new to this type of IM. However I am really excited about this because one little fact

It took me a year and a half to go from 0 a day to 300 a day with SEO/my blogs....Yet it took me 2 weeks to go from 0 a day to 100 a day with CPA/PPC (that is insanely cool to me...even though I lost a BIG chunk of money the first 2 weeks)

There is good and bad news

The Bad
The campaign was not profitable

The Good Good News
1 of the campaigns brought back a positive revenue. This was the

Scholar Ship 4 Working Adults Campaign (Scholarships4WorkingAdults.com)
Epc: .88
Network: Peerfly
Advertising Method: PPV
Amount spent: $50
Amount Returned:$55

This is exciting for me because I know this offer converts. I just need to find a way to get either A)better traffic or B)Cheaper advertising

Another of the Campaigns almost broke even
Offer: Find me love (FindMeLove.com | FindMeLove.com - Online Dating)
Network: COPEAC
Advertising method: Media Buys (adbrite)
Amount Spent:10 (got close to 200,00 k impressions)

Amount Returned:7.00

This may seem like a meh campaign, but the cool thing is my banner had a awful conversion rate. For the amount of clicks i got it actually converted very well.

My goal now is just to create a higher converting banner.

My goal now is to test multiple banners to get the highest CTR

My last campaign was a and email submit targeting portugal. I blew about 20 bucks and got nothing back.

Overall
This was a bad ass day. For only 23 bucks I managed to find to scaleable offers. The money and offers are there, just need to find better ways to promote them


Goals for today
I have just bought a ton of media buy via adbrite and another smaller adult targeted network.

I should be getting around 800,000k impressions today. I will be testing 6 banners I have created for the Find Me Love Offer and seeing which one converts the highest.

In my next post, I will post all the banners (they are all leaderboards or skyscrapers) and their conversion ratios. I am trying 3 main types (and two different wordings each)

The Types Are

Good Looking, animated ad - this is the typical type of ad you see online. I am a graphic designer so I can pop out some good looking ones

A shocking offensive one - for example if I am promoting a weight loss product, the text would be WHY ARE YOU SO FAT and the a picture of a really fat guy.. I hear this gets alot of attention

A text ad that blends into the site- I hear this has the highest CTR rate...lets find out

Sooo, I definitley did not sneak anything past them. However, I mostly use dirt cheap CPM buys right now (which are actually doing really well for me with some of those CPA offers)

Nothing crazy, but i got 200,000 impressions for .90 cents. Those impressions earned me 20 dollars.

I am not sure if it scaleable or not but 20 dollars for 1 is cool beans to me! (Ill be reporting on that next post)

This thread gives me courage to enter in ppv. I am planning from last few days.. but waiting to get approved in peerfly...
i ve account with adscendmedia, but its very confusing... some offers are with ppc, social media, ppv and many not mentioned what traffic they allowed. Can't even see landing pages... They have quantity but no way to measure quality.
Lets hope peerfly will accept me one day and i wll start ppv campaing just like you!!!

Last Weeks CPA Results

Well good news and bad news (more bad then good! )

Last weeks CPA campaign were el floppos

This is a good thing though...sorta

Because I learned a **** ton, and I only lost around 50 dollars doing the testing

Here are the most important things I learned

7 Search Sucks Major Poop (at least for direct linking): I launched a scholar ship offer campaign on there targeting keywords based around education and scholarship

I got around 200 clicks (bout 5 cents average) and not a single conversion. This offer has a pretty good EPC with targeted traffic, so while I am definitley doing something wrong, it is also very clear to me that 7 search does not provide good traffic (at least for this offer)


Direct CPV and PPV Campaigns Require More Research
I launched a direct link campaign focusing on urls, categories, and keywords. For about 15 bucks I got around 500ish impressions. It was converting very poorly so I paused the campaigns

It is abundantly clear now that direct linking big form offers is not a good idea for ppv. I spent the last few hours reading everything I possibly could on PPV and have a pretty solid email collecting plan/landing page plan made up.

I am actually very excited about it, if I can collect a targeted list of people interested in scholarships, it would be a CPA gold mine

Last But Not Least The Good News
I have been buying media with the iphone offers and for the volume and prices...it is actually converting well. For ever 1 dollar I put in I get 5-10 back. This seems scalable with cheap media buying

(It may be a pain in the but, but In a week with enough effort I could probably inch my way to 50 dollars a day with this)

What has been working for me
I have only been buying leader board ads, they are getting a solid CTR. I basically have found cheap ulgy partially animated ads that are also made Targeting the site (for example if the site is a game site, I put in a picture of a game character and mention something from the game...like err... Free Phone For Dark Castle players) then I blend the ad in with the site

This is taboo in bigger media buys, but on dirt cheap sites they do not seem to care


Soo All In All...I got Some Learning Ahead of me


Hope this helps some people avoid making some of the mistakes I have. Ill report back in a little with how the new PPV scholarship campaign goes

i saw that same Scholarship cpa too. Have you tried Facebook Ads?

Scholarships/Education do well on FB.

I have def looked into, just facebooks cpcs are crazy. The best epc for the scholarship was around .80 and the minimum cpc was like 2.50 =/

My First Landing Page Click Through Test

Hey guys, quick update. I created landing pages for an cpa offer I have been promoting. I filmed the explanation and the results.

Overall I got alot more click, however my conversion were still pretty low. Hope this helps people interested in creating landing pages/getting higher ctrs

get rid of the slider. In its place, put text that explains exactly what the benefit of your site it

For ex
-rank higher in google
-get more targeted traffic

etc

Picture your site from a comple outsiders point of view

what is market samurai, errr whats this demon thing...whats is this site about...bounce

Of course i know what your site is all about because I have been in SEO for awhile...

BUT!!!!! your target customer is newcomers to SEO, and they have zero idea what MS or demon is about.

Soooooo, put the benefits at the top of your site and for the products and change the titles...

For example

The Best SEO Research tool on the net- market samurai

(MS sucks by the way, try promoting mobile monopoly on click bank, the sales page is amazing)

and for demon

The Social Bookmarking Tool That Saves Sites

(if I were you though I would promote a article or blog distribution tool and the best spinner in a pair...this will create way more conversion for you...both the tools you are promoting are not crucial in the SEO world)


This will actually get a newcomer interested (most experienced marketers already know and swear by certain tools...so selling to anyone but newcomers is silly =D )
