I thought I knew what Earnings per click meant but when I look in commission junction and see a 7 day EPC of $285 I get a little bit confused.
That particular EPC is for insurance that pays $6 a lead. I would expect an EPC to be around $0.50. As in, the average click that you send is worth $0.50. The average click you send to a $6 lead can't be $285. Just wondering if you knew what was going on here and where my thinking is skewed. Muchos appreciated. |

Sorry, I should have done a little bit more research before posting as I found my own answer. I dug a little bit deeper into CJ and apparently it is a figure per 100 clicks. So the real EPC, per 1 click, is 2.85 which makes much more sense on a $6 lead.
Good to know for anybody else wondering how the EPC works in CJ. |

It is a good EPC, but you wont get many clicks for an insurence offer, they just aren't popular ( thats from my experience anyway).

It seems like a good EPC but I always get declined for those offers anyway. I assume it has something to do with living in Canada, but it is annoying searching through campaign after campaign to find one I want to promote....and to be declined the moment I apply.
It would be nicer if they told me from the start then I wouldn't bother. Or even better, if they told me exactly why I was instantly declined other then the generic page I get to fix my 'problem' and help make them money. And that concludes my talk about the frustrations of CJ. |
