Gift Cards worth it?

Hey guys,
I'm currently offering gift card offers on my web site:
Free gift cards | Rogue Valley Ads

My question is, are gift cards old news?
I currently waiting on 500 business cards that will promote the offers and planning on giving them out in shopping areas.

What are your opinions on this?

Do you want to market this offers in offline area? It is a nice strategy I think.

It's still do-able and profitable if you put the work into it, just be prepared to rotate through different offers to make sure you find a winner - also make sure that you double check with your AM to ensure the offers allow this type of promotion

Yeah - I think if you go through trial and error you will find success just like any business. In my experience, if anything is free people will take advantage of it.

You have to try different ones, there are to many and some are a lot better than others. Eventually you will find a select few that convert well for you.

Absolutely. Just have a look at gift card related keywords via Google Keyword Tool - there is pretty high demand.

However, always make sure that you rotate between many offers, so that you know which bring you most money.

Well, if you look at my page you can see I have around 14 different gift cards. I'm planning to start advertising them offline first. I already ordered 500 business cards that will promote an offer and will distribute them in high traffic shopping area. If it works out, I will order 1000 etc. and go to a different area, or may be even do a bulk mail, like 5000 or something.
Eventually, I will pick one offer and try to find ideal keyword rich domain and create a web site with landing page etc.
