Simple question for you gurus out there (difficult to understand for a newbie). I was looking for an explanation as to how subID's work. I know they are used to track leads/sales from different sources, but question is regarding whether the subID is strict or not. For example: MarketLeverage has 5 subID's you can assign that go like s1=&s2=&s3=&s4=&s5= and for some of my links, I've put in s1=web... now obviously that subID doesn't get saved in the system, it's almost just a tracker word so next time I get a link, its blank again (with s1=). Now, if I want to track say my leads from facebook ads, and say I get a new blank link with no subID's defined... do I have to set s2=facebook or can I just set s1=facebook? I'm wondering this because I am going to start tracking using Prosper202 and I need to know under which subid I should put in the [[subid]] tag that's required (because I've already assigned s1 before). Is the s1 set in stone after I've defined it once and gotten a lead with a link that has had s1 defined -- or can it be changed everytime? |

subid's helps you to track sales. do a search here you will have more idea. Afflink.com/s2=[[subid]] in prosper prospertrackinglink/xxxx/kw={put whatever you think which will be easy to track fb ads} remove {} . I will typically use like ad1, ad2 etc if you get conversions, run reports in market leverage it will show you corresponding subid sent by prosper in the form of numbers. Copy those and paste in update tab in prosper. Now go to analyze/visitors tab, you will be able to find which ad converted and which doesnt. Hope this helps |

You use subid's to track, so if you were running campaigns on google, bing and facebook you could set one subid to identify which traffic source you were using.. If your using prosper202 you would just use s1 for your subid and let prosper202 track the rest of the info |
