Default Site has WAY more than 3 adsense units - how?

I was browsing around today and noticed this site: elizabethannedesigns (dot) com /blog/ (sorry about the obfuscation, but I'm too much of a lurker on here to post links yet) which has 12 (twelve!) 300x100 adsense units down the right-hand side of the page. I don't see anything fishy going on (like multiple adsense IDs being used), so I'm trying to figure out how its done without breaking the TOS.

Could it be that it just *looks* like Adsense, but is really Doubleclick for Publishers (DFP)? I haven't worked with DFP yet (but I'm considering it), so I am admittedly clueless about their terms and whatnot.
