Hi everybody,

I was just wondering if anybody could help me. I am just about to sign up to an Affiliate Network as an merchant offering commission to sell some health products from a friends website.

To give you a little background, the website sells special vitamins for the immune systems and has lots of different buying options. I.e buy 30 capsules, 60 Capulses, 90 Capulses etc, which are all presented on one page entitled "shop" (I hope this makes sense). The person selects the quantity that they want and then this takes them to a page entitled "shopping cart" where the person confirms the order and is then taken to a "checkout page" where they go on to input thier personal details and make the purchase.

I am just trying to get my head around how this works from a cpa perspective.

I am trying to understand exactly what I should offer. Should I offer commissions based on a % of anything bought from the shop. Or should I offer a set amount for 1 particular product line. i.e $10 for a sale of 60 capsules? If so where do I direct people to?

When I come to do sign up as a merchant, I am being asked to input my "offer URL".

The question I have is where exactly should I direct someone to? I know this sounds strange,but I am thinking do I

1. Direct someone to the home page of the website?
2. To the shop section of the website.
3. To the checkout cart with a pre determined order?
4. A ready made page specifically for affiliates promoting a specific offer(which I would have to design and build) which would lead to a sign up.




I hope this makes sense and I really would appreciate any help.

I am inexperienced to cpa but hoping to learn how to use to increase profits.
