I`m going to promote some trial offers with youtube videos. Are there any suggestions on how long videos should be?

I think the longest they CAN be is 10 minutes. As far as how long... well, I think that depends on what the content is.

If you're trying to teach something, then 3 to 7 minutes may be a good length. Personally, I start to space out on videos after about 5 minutes

Good question though. I'll keep an eye on this post to see what others may say.

It is seen that video's which are less then or near about 5 minutes converts well. Noone like's watching a long video(If vid isn't intresting)

Tips for making a good vid is

• Make an intresting vid
• vid should be short
• Starting of the vid should be intresting
• Vid should be direct to point no FLUFFS

It might be interesting to take a popular youtube celebrity and see if there's a correlation between shorter video lengths and number of likes. Doesn't prove anything, but it might be useful.

There is no perfect length for videos. It all depends on how you do them. You can make a killing with 30 seconds video or you can have long ones and make less to nothing.

Your videos should presell the offer you will be promoting by showing some benefits of the product/service and most not look salesly. Be sure to add a strong call to action at the end of the video. This is very important because this is what gives the viewers a reason to leave youtube and visit your site

Aditionally you could also try to rank your video within youtube. Chose your keyword carefully, be sure to add the keyword in the title of the video and build some anchor text backlinks pointing to the video. This way your video will rank higher in Youtube and depending on the keyword will allow you to get hundreds or even thousands of extra views.
